Transgender North Carolinians Share How New Law Hurts Them
Um, that's a feature, not a bug.
This is so damn sad. I’m not naïve but to think that people actually legislate hate for an issue that has nothing to do with them and probably will never affect them SIMPLY because they are ignorant FKs…really disturbs me.
Glad to see this… So much of the coverage has been of how the blowback is affecting McCrory and other straight, white, cisgender politicians who can still go about their daily lives without too much inconvenience.
There are real world consequences for real people - and this type of hyperbolic law does nothing in the way of keeping predators from doing what they do already.
FauXians are gleeful at the hurt put on trannies…Jesus weeps.
Completely agree.
It’s easy to hate the generic boogeyman, but when you see the pain and heartache of real people…it often changes hearts.
You’d have to be made of stone not to feel for these folks.
HB-2 is incredibly useless: everyone in the nation needs to remember this in November. Republicans prefer to enact unnecessary laws to address non-existent issues rather than work on the very real problems that confront us today.
Cooper Union in New York has eliminated gendered restroom facilities on the campus. Lavs are now labelled “Stalls Only” or “Stalls and Urinals”. People are free to choose which facility they want to use. It’s amazing to report that there has been no increase in abductions and rapes on the campus. (Incidentally, apparent males primarily use the stalls and urinals rooms and apparent females use the stalls only room. Imagine that!)
heartbreaking. May these good folks find happiness. and may these asshole republican lawmakers find the unemployment line in November. I want to say something so much worse about them, but will refrain.
Of course, one of the great stupidities of this law is that it forces these transgendered people into bathrooms of what seems to be the opposite gender. Naturally, this is also what the idiot supporters of this law say they are trying to prevent.
Yes he does – on two counts. (psst, the t word is not a term of endearment)
