OK, I gotta ask — “anarchist news outlet”? WTF?
Also:
A surprisingly rational and thoughtful response from the TPUSA spokesperson. But the college kid is a white supremacist, so screw him. You do evil shit in public, you don’t get the “kid gloves, sweep it under the rug” treatment.
“For the sake of the students involved, you don’t instantly know that that’s their current position or maybe the kid was inebriated when he said those things, or whatever,” he added, before condemning Grisar’s words as “terrible.”
"And while the majority of TPUSA’s “thousands and thousands” of student members are “fantastic,” he said, “you want to handle with a delicate touch when it’s somebody’s future, and future reputation.”
It’s what they call themselves
Who we are:
It’s Going Down is a digital community center for anarchist, anti-fascist, autonomous anti-capitalist and anti-colonial movements. Our mission is to provide a resilient platform to publicize and promote revolutionary theory and action.
It is a little weird to take a couple days to say “we condemn racism”…I can understand wanting to take a couple days to write out a formal statement, but the spokesperson should have been able to say “we let him go and condemn the things he said, and will have a more formal statement later”. And the statement that you don’t know if something is going to go public really makes it sound like they know they have an issue with this kind of stuff and just hope nothing shows up where others can see it.
None of this really makes them look good as an organization…if they are really serious about having good minority relations they really should be proactive in dealing with the racism in their ranks.
It’s Going Down and Unicorn Riot consistently do some of the best reporting – as in, revealing new information – on fascists/white power figures. Just a fact.
I don’t understand the question. Can you re-phrase?
Ah. Now I feel sorry for Nick Sandmann.
I want to thank the unnamed TPUSA spokesperson for courageously educating us on our callousness for not considering how it might effect the futures of Drumpfjugend everywhere should we condemn their youthful bigotry.
Personal message to TPUSA Members:

Thanks, Matt. Learn something new every day.
“You walk a fine line and a balance of, are you trying to publicize something and destroy a kid’s life even though he was obviously in the wrong, or do you try and deal with it internally and self-police and correct the problem?” the spokesperson explained.
Sort of like the pope telling his “flock” to report abuse to the church hierarchy as opposed to calling in the authorities.
And how many folks’ lives will this “kid” destroy with a philosophy of hate?
Piss off you little fucks.
“For the sake of the students involved, you don’t instantly know that that’s their current position or maybe the kid was inebriated when he said those things, or whatever,” he added…
I’ve been inebriated hundreds (okay… thousands) of times, and I’ve never said anything like what this kid (young man?) said.
I’ve also never grabbed anyone by the pu$$y.
Minorities? What Minorities? Ben Carson and Milo Yellownipples?
I know! Even Lindsey Graham is doing it!
What’s that fruit doing up there, anyway?
TPUSA? Isn’t that the organization that the Hitler-lovin’ moron Candace Owens used to belong to, until Rep.Ted Lieu made her look like the fucking fool she is?
I bet they insisted Riley get a medical exam hoping for some sort of brain tumor. Yeah, that’s the ticket, this sweet kid had a brain tumor. All of us here are praying for his recovery.
You never know. Condemning deplorable yet “joking” youthful indiscretions could prevent someone from becoming, say, Mike Davis, former Chief Counsel for Nominations, United States Senate Committee on the Judiciary, Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA), 115th Congress (2017-19), who worked on the confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
I think we can all understand how that might work out. Perhaps, even, in a stellar career stymied.
When I was in college, I also became inebriated many times. Even joshing amongst friends, I never said “F…” any ethnic group. These people seem terribly concerned that the young people in the video might suffer. Not so much concerned about the others who are actively harmed by the terrible policies they support.
