He will be replaced by a staff of 20 to handle an ever increasing workload…
Maybe the emoluments decision yesterday was the last straw because he knows that’s gonna be a ball buster.
The only question is, will he release his secret tapes before or after Mr. Mueller subpoenas them?
Mikey Cohen started a nice precedent…
A real swamp rat. Works for Gingrich.
In various public letters, Passantino has tangled with Walter Shaub, the former director of the Office of Government Ethics from 2013 to July 2017, and the Democrats on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. That committee once asked McGahn specifically to look into Passantino’s conduct.
“I’m glad to hear he’s leaving. He is a nice guy – charming even, and easy to like on a personal level. I’d want him as a neighbor, but not as an ethics official,” said Shaub. “On a professional level, he has been openly hostile to the government ethics program, like nothing we’d ever seen. He’s done more harm than good in his brief stint in the White House. His detrimental influence on the government ethics program under the Trump administration was a factor in my decision to resign.”
A top White House lawyer responsible for patrolling President Donald Trump and his officials’ ethical behavior is leaving the White House at the end of the summer
Excelsior!
Clean up guy? They should have called him Pigpen, or guy completely covered in shit, or something then, because there’s no evidence anyone has effectively educated anyone in the White House on anything even vaguely resembling ethics.
Educating the willfully ignorant. Betcha that was a rewarding experience.
He was commuting from Altanta. I guess he figured the grift was up.
Hope he is right. Might be trying to get out of Dodge before he can get roped into the Emoluments suit somehow.
I’m hoping McConnell will have to call on the services of Charon pretty soon though.
Talk about pissing in the wind!
My first thought exactly. Educating professional grifters, bag men, terrorists, money launderers, and on, sitting in a conference room looking sincere, “yeah yeah, got it, makes sense, will do, handouts look great, will follow up, are we done yet, can’t miss meeting, five minutes.”
I think I’m going to bookmark this story. Then, when my job seems overwhelming, I can just go back to it and think “at least I’m not that guy,”
Ethics guy in the White House.
Never heard of him.
Apparently, neither has anybody int he White House.
I doubt they’ll notice he’s even gone.
I believe Flood is still there. He doesn’t seem to need or want to be in the media.
and Cohen still won’t get the job.
Clean-up Guy ? … you mean like …
Well, he hasn’t managed to get much “cleaning” done now, has he?
