I think Natasha helped him. And probably Snidely Whiplash too.

"Epshteyn emigrated to the United States from Moscow in 1993 with his Russian Jewish family."

Uncle Vladimir sponsored their trip to the U.S.

Say no more…

Just for the record, a great many of the Jews who emigrated around the end of the Soviet Union were/are Jewish only because their internal passports (coming soon to the US?) had them listed, based upon forebears who were Jewish. While some of the refugees (Yes, Mr. Epshteyn, you were a refugee once!) were religious, they were a pretty small minority. Far more of them were Jewish only because their parents or grandparents were Jewish.

And even some of the refusenik heroes showed themselves to be utterly reprehensible human beings, once allowed to emigrate.
Natan Scharansky comes to mind.

I think Scharansky qualifies as moderately reprehensible.

If that is true than it would not hurt them to specifically name the classes affected. At least the major ones when discussing the Holocaust. Just saying, there is not really an excuse for it. Trump is so full of hot air that it would not hurt him to read a sentence that mentions the various people killed there with specific targeting.

I would hate to meet your definition of reprehensible, especially if I were a Palestinian in Israel.
Admittedly, I am basing my judgment on one aspect of his history.
Probably “moderately” is accurate.

Was he a descendant of Holocaust survivors in the normal definition of the phrase Holocaust survivor or was it in the broad sense. Like for example, I am a descendent of a family that survived the Holocaust though I’m not Jewish and my family left Germany in the 1860s. But thankfully they survived the Holocaust.

Boris is a Russian oligarchist/Trumpist first and foremost, a guy who’s been trying to broker sales of the U.S. to Russian interests long before Bulbous Shitgibbon started his campaign. This is a cover story – the statement was written by the gin-soaked fuck who just got a seat on the National Security Council.

I often tell people that I’m an Andrea Doria survivor. I had the good fortune not to be on the ship when it got rammed.

“The Trump administration’s statement mentioned the ‘victims, survivors, heroes’ of the Holocaust.”

Does Bannon’s definition for “heroes of the Holocaust” include Einsatzgruppen?

Priebus said “Everyone suffered”, which I believe answers your question.
