The noise you may hear are TomCotton and Bibi heads exploding… the background wailing are the MIC corporatists who long to be …richer.
Very true. I don’t want to overstate the case, because many differences remain. But this is like a parable from the Bible. Obama kept his head down, engaged in very difficult work trudging through one complication after another, all the while doing what he felt was best for the American people and the world at large.
Meanwhile, he had people presumably on his own side, vilifying him in the strongest terms, casting doubt on his patriotism, and working to actively sabotage his work despite having no plans of their own.
Additionally, he had the leader of a dependent state show him complete disrespect on multiple levels, leak selective information, and collude with the opposing party in the US in a desperate attempt to maintain a war footing at all costs.
Long story short, I’m thankful Obama is our President and I will miss him in a years time.
I like your moniker -------- on soooooooo many levels…
Reminded of when the Shah was overthrown and women had to go back to burqas.
More people need to learn, that war is not a good economic foundation for the world.
It is nice having a President that knows that diplomacy extends to more than just your friends.
Those two, among many others, have forgotten that it is “Better to jaw jaw jaw, than to war war war.” Churchill, I believe.
…better for the boots on the grounders… Not so much the MIC.
Another huge accomplishment by the Obama administration. It isn’t fluffy unicorns for everyone, I admit, but it is actual peace. Everyone/anyone remember that?
The, Axis of Peace, that has a nice ring to it.
Looks like our cold war with Iran is finally ending. I, for one, look forward to travel restrictions being lifted so I can finally go tour all the ancient Persian ruin sites that are inaccessible right now.
I just gotta say…that is one weird goofy picture of Sec. John Kerry…not that he’s particularly photogenic. It looks like he’s ready to blow a raspberry, rather than negotiate the end of the Iranian trade sanctions.
Seriously, is that the best pic you have?
Like they used to say in the 60’s…
President Ted “Chris/Marco” Trump will still bomb them on day one.
Great story, but seriously, did TPM hire a blind person to pick photos? Also, who is that in the photo?
This nuclear deal is so huge for the World. Kudos to all who were involved in making it happen. And, piss on Netanyahu and all his Pubs in the U.S. who fought it’s implementation.
A huge shout out to our President and Secetary Kerry. Heckuva job fellas.
