Discussion: Top Trump Aide: Paul Ryan Shouldn’t Be Speaker If He Won’t Endorse Trump

Oh hell. Am I going to have to defend Paul Ryan against this odious woman?

It’s time to remove this moron from the national dialog.

Trump for Speaker! He’ll make all the deals! The House will never have had it so good!

I love this! If Ryan backs down he looks like the worst kind of wuss, and if Trump doesn’t back down he stains the “honor” of the media’s favorite Republican “moderate” whore.

My thought exactly.

“He’s speaker of what? Only the House of Representatives. We are a Party!”

I suppose it would be pissing in the wind to inform this odious woman that the House and its Speaker are established by the Constitution (Article I, section 2). Parties, on the other hand, not so much.

Oh, and Miss Katrina, if Trump wants a say in who is leader of the House, perhaps he should be running for Congress instead for President.

SWEET. “Some men just want to watch the world burn.”

Pierson also said Trump’s rise is the result of party elites rejecting the will of their own voters for the last several election cycles.

No, Trumps rise is a result of a large portion of the Republican party not understanding the limits of congress in a Constitutional Federal Republic,as well as a lack of understanding of basic math, such as not being able to calculate what a 2/3 majority is in order to override a Presidential veto.

Trump’s really trying to endear himself to those who could help him. It’s obvious Trump doesn’t want to be president. He just wants to promote himself and his brand.

Yeah, that tRump, best UNIFIER the repugs have.

Which is funny, because his brand is ruined from now on.

That’s precisely what his campaign is about. And this little dust up has absolutely nothing to do with policy, he is only interested in bringing Ryan to bended knee to further promote Trump brand. Whatever policy points Ryan wants to push, Trump is fine with that…as long as he pays the proper respect.

The problem with this is, Ryan knows that whatever policy that might come out of the House (of course its a huge assumption that Ryan will actually produce ANY policy…but lets put that aside for now), it won’t be popular with most Americans, and Trump…always shifting to the changing winds…won’t back. And Ryan can’t fight for it very well on bended knee.

This IS the scenario that would play out over and over in a Trump presidency. He will disagree with Congress on nearly everything, and take to insulting them on personal issues instead of dealing with the actual policy disagreement. And nothing gets done…even worse than what we saw for the last 8 years.

Why on earth would you want to do that?
Yes, she is odious. But she reflects the mentality of the Trumpers and like the giant gas bag himself, doesn’t have much of a “I shouldn’t have said that but it just popped into my head” filter.

It’s ruined for most people, but not for the millions of people who voted for him. Those people are his target - the gullible who will gladly pay to stay at Trump Hotel while eating Trump Steaks and drinking Trump Wine. People who are disgusted by Trump would never do those things even before he ran for president.
