Discussion: Top Senate Intel Dem: Trump Jr. Meeting With Russian Lawyer Part Of A 'Pattern'

Yup. Do it soon, at the very next Sessions. The next Sessions would be a good time. And don’t forget about the Sessions!

“Trump Jr. on Monday said he would be “happy to work with” the Senate Intelligence Committee to “pass on” what he knows.”

Can Mueller get Uday to flip?

“I think a rational person would ask, why didn’t they remember these particular meetings?”

I wonder what the GOP will ask instead.

Pattern? As in tire tracks? As in which member of the Drumpf Crime family throws another member under the bus first?

Finally someone publicly pointing out the massive hole in the “stovepipe” theory, that each of these incidents should be treated as isolated events that can all be explained away by simple oversight.

It simply doesn’t hold up that EVERYONE is having precisely the same memory problems regarding precisely the same issues. Instead, when looking at the totality of events, it becomes clear that there were coordinated and widespread efforts to collude with Russia, and that everyone involved knew they were breaking the law, or at least in legal jeopardy, by engaging in their actions.

Why are we not arresting the reporters who broke this story for creating legal problems for the First Family?

And by Monday afternoon, Junior was hiring a top defense attorney. “Happy to work with” has morphed into trying to resist any subpoena and when that fails, pleading the 5th throughout.

Junior just moved way up on the list of people Mueller’s team will be trying to flip, without a doubt. He has admitted to criminal activity, has implicated two other key people of interest under investigation, and has intimate knowledge of the entire campaign throughout. Oh…and it continues to look like he is being tossed out on his own, making him more vulnerable.

What pattern? There’s no pattern there. Nosiree.

I mean, if you see a bunch of numbers like 1, 4, 9, 16… What comes next? 25? I agree, I think it’s 25, but I think it’s probably other digits or numbers, and I see nothing wrong with that statement. Nobody really knows for sure.

If I actually forgot something like an undisclosed meeting with Russian agents on my security clearance forms, and then two or three or ten of my colleagues were revealed in turn to have similarly “forgotten” such meetings, causing a great deal of pain and bad press for my boss, hmm. Maybe that sort of thing would cause me to rack my brain and try to remember if I’d had such meetings, too.

Y’know, presuming I were operating in good faith.

Hmmmmm …

I just have NO idea —

The very low-key version of “things that make you go hmmmm.”

You know, if you look really close, you can kind of see a pattern emerging…

Jr. might have some stiff competition with Jared and Manafort trying to flip first. Everyone is probably trying to get their story out there. It seems Manafort would care the least about flipping on Trump but I doubt Jared is far behind. Jr. doesn’t seem especially bright and might play coy. You snooze you lose.

Flatterer.

Jr. is about as sharp as a bag of wet mice.
The only one in the family stupider than Jr. is Eric, who’s as sharp as a bowling ball.

Jr. has a creepy loyalty to Daddums, but Eric would do a Fredo on any or all of them to save his own mouth-breathing self.

They seem like a family of Fredos who believe they are Vitos/Michaels and act like Sonnys.

Nobody need to work to get anyone in this family to “flip” - just let 'em talk and they bury themselves.

A dumber Klan I’ve never seen. Cletus and Brandine Spuckler seem sharper. And classier.

Because reasons Mark… REASONS!!!

Stop being polite and slightly ironic. Say it: The only reason they would have all “forgotten” these meeting is because they did something illegal and don’t want to get caught. Say it. Say it. Say it! Dems hold their fire when they’ve got good reason to tear into the GOP. Meanwhile the GOP manufacture phony corruption stories about Dems day after day. Why can’t Dems wake up and see they have to help the narrative along by growing a spine and calling out the clearly illegal activities that have gone on? It’s TREASON, my friends. The GOP called giving folks health care slavery and the Dems couldn’t even counter that! Now we have TREASON, and election theft and Dems want to make sure they don’t “go too far” with their rhetoric. Starting calling Trump a mob boss, start saying he’s nuts, start undermining him the way the GOP did Obama and Clinton (and Carter). When you’ve got good reason to call the President a crook, do it.
