But the GOP isn’t responsible for the uprising in Iraq, of course …

“Unfortunately, this development was predictable, given the lack of direction and leadership from this Administration since it ousted Muammar Gaddafi,” Royce said in a statement.

There’s a book by Jacob Heilbrunn about neocons with a title that pretty much sums up who they are: “They Knew They Were Right”

I think most people are mainly interested in the intricacies of their lives.

It won’t get better until it gets a lot worse, sad to say.

In March 2011, President Obama said, “Today I authorized the Armed Forces of the United States to begin a limited military action in Libya in support of an international effort to protect Libyan civilians.”

Further stating, “In this effort, the United States is acting with a broad coalition that is committed to enforcing United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973, which calls for the protection of the Libyan people."

President Obama decided own his own to deploy our military to enforce UNSCR 1973 in conjunction with our NATO Allies. And, UNSCR 1973 never called for the removal of Gaddafi. I guess we did that pro bono, a gift to the people of Libya.

But, Obama’s use of the military conflicts (Surprise!) with what he said in a 2007 interview with Charlie Savage. In which Obama said, “The president does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation.”

Obama added, “As commander-in-chief, the president does have a duty to protect and defend the United States. In instances of self-defense, the president would be within his constitutional authority to act before advising Congress or seeking its consent. History has shown us time and again, however, that military action is most successful when it is authorized and supported by the legislative branch. It is always preferable to have the informed consent of Congress prior to any military action.”

Decide for yourself if President Obama acted illegally, he certainly acted opposite of what Senator Obama promised to do.

And what has happened since Gaddafi was overthrown?

Last March, Reuters reported that “Weapons are spreading from Libya at an “alarming rate,” fueling conflicts in Mali, Syria and elsewhere and boosting the arsenals of extremists and criminals in the region, according to a U.N. report published on Tuesday.”

Militias control most of Libya, not the central government.

The evacuation of our embassy in Tripoli should be seen as an embarrassment to this administration.

Libya is collapsing into utter chaos, Obama ought to put the coalition back together and try to set things right this time.

How does this perpetual bullshit machine not violate the 2nd law of thermodynamics?

You don’t give a shit about that country anymore than your comrades in the GOP-buro does. Stop pretending otherwise.

House Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Rogers (R-MI) said the escalating violence "is what happens when the United States is not engaged and lacks a clear foreign policy that includes strong U.S. leadership," according to The Hill.

OK, how much are you willing to spend to “stabilize” Libya? Willing to raise the money now, or are you going to make it an emergency appropriation like all Dubya’s war and antiterrorism spending was?

Which coalition would that be, you whiny little bitch? The “Coalition of the Willing”? (“Don’t forget Poland!”) The Brits won’t go for it, even if Obama isn’t lying through his teeth like Bush/Cheney did. Neither will any of the other European governments, particularly the ones spied on by a rogue NSA that’s barricaded itself into its bunker and is hoping Carnival Cruz pulls off a miracle in '16!

And how would Obama “set things right this time”? Puppet governments? Democracy at the barrel of a gun while ExxonMobil loads barrels of oil on their supertankers? Yeah, that worked so damn well in the last decade, didn’t it? And what’s the endgame: “Peace in the Middle East”? Yeah, you sell that to the wives and mothers of the soldiers who were killed or maimed for one big story!

Tell the truth: When you dress yourself, do you have to follow a diagram so you won’t walk out of the house with your pants on backwards and your underwear over your face? Because if you were any dumber, you’d qualify for EPA protection as a redwood tree!

McKeon’s full statement continues to say that the president “…made the right call by not crashing the Earth into the Sun, yet has made no progress cooling it down. I mean, I’m no scientist, but the Sun is really, really hot and Obama leads from behind on the Sun-temperature crisis.”

I respectfully disagree, they do it because they can get away with it. They have the media repeating every talking point or most outrageous statements, allegations as if fact. The media is their mega phone.

We the people sit back and don’t demand better from journalists. Question: How many people know what in PBO $3.7B supplement bill? How many people know that the Transportation Trust Fund will run out of funds or what it for or how many workers it will effect?
How many people know that congress denied funding for the VA?
How many people know how many infrastructure projects are on hold due for lack of funding? And finally how many people know that congress is the stewart of the country finances?

But they can tell you all the crazy sh#$ repubs. say or said. And the media tell you that its not their job to inform or educated the public.
That why you get polls that agree with Pres. policies put his name next to it they disagree or didn’t know its his bills/policies (Obamacare, Ukraine, alternative energy projects, Iran, etc.)
And finally, how many people know of Pres. Obama accomplishments or can name them? So no, Pres. Obama isn’t letting them do it, it’s we that letting them do it. He’s doing his job.

It couldn’t be that the invasion of Iraq and the rest of Bush’s disastrous foreign policy had anything to do with the general destabilization of the middle east, could it? Nah.

Why would promoting democracy in an area full of theocratic fanatics who believe that it is their responsibility to impose their will on any minority they rule destabilize anything? It turns out that there are actually worse things than secular tyrants like Saddam. Religious tyrants.

Because of the Darth and W show, we are about to see every form and flavor of that form of government. And they aren’t interested in living in peace with us.

Republicans want to help themselves, nothing more. What made you think otherwise?

Top Republicans Blame Obama For ‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗‗

This is more than a template headline. It is a philosophical baseline – a Weltanschauung. Not only will it accept any current event or topic with an even mildly unfavorable outcome, such as Hurricanes in Florida, Drought in Texas, or Tornadoes in Missouri, but it will also accommodate any unfortunate historical event from the Fall of the Roman Empire to the Sinking of the Lusitania or anything between or beyond. I am sure that “top Republicans” also hold Obama responsible for the ebola outbreak in west Africa. At this point, one suspects that they just can’t help themselves.

With one breath they announce that all the world’s ills are Obama’s fault because of his weak and ineffective leadership and with the next they announce their intention to sue him for “exceeding his authority” by delaying the implementation of a law that they voted over 50 times to repeal. And they think no one will notice the massive hypocrisy involved.

In any case, the lede shouldn’t be “Top Republicans”, but “Republican Tops”. These people are spinning so fast and frantically that they could be used for gyroscopes.

Obama was on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository on November 22, 1963 and assassinated President Kennedy too.

And what’s the approval rating for Congress again?

That is what I was thinking. News would be if Repubs DIDN’T blame him. The headline should be the ONE Repub who didn’t.
