Discussion for article #231649
I guess now we know how the GOP/Teatrolls will be wasting our time and money next.
In most states police officers are already given special consideration with assault on a police officer being a separate charge.
Totally agree, as long as unarmed black men and boys shot by police, are treated the same.
Yep, that’s exactly what I was thinking. Honestly, I don’t know how Democrats avoid voting for it and the president avoids signing off on it. I think I might be okay with it if the Democrats could leverage it to get something in return. Let’s be honest, how many people who go on cop killing sprees actually get taken down alive?
I’m just waiting for the calls from the Fraternal Order of Police, The Policeman’s Fraternal Order, Policemen United, The Order of Fraternal Police, The Sheriffs Fraternal Order, The Fraternal Order of Sheriffs, and so on and and so all asking for money to help them in a time of need and offer a sticker to put in the back window of my car implying that if you show that you gave cops money they might let you off.
Maybe they could add MTA workers to the list?
Side note: Why did that NYPD officer attack the MTA worker anyway? Was he trying to create a false flag?
I had one of those stickers and I swear the police pull you more often
Probably for the same reason others have assaulted or killed civilians. They absolutely cannot deal with anything beyond total reverence. Some cops are on such an insane power trip that If you’re not pledging fealty they are completely offended. This cop was apparently angry that the train was running late (like she had control over that) and had some exchange with the worker. I’m sure words were said, but then he apparently attacked her when he got his fee fees hurt.
Democrats should include BLM, NPS, IRS, ATF, and census agents. I’m sure Republicans can get behind that.
I’m still waiting for a police union leader to ask for higher wages, just for the entertainment of watching Republicans denounce him faster than Cliven Bundy.
I’ll tell you how POTUS avoids signing off on it:
“Nonsense Vetoed! It’s not like I get a third term. Next!!!”
Anyone want to name the last time we saw a cop kill a black or minority person and get charged with a hate crime?
Here, let me help:
Oh wait…that seems to be the opposite…

Unarmed pedestrian faces 25 years in prison because NYPD shot bystanders while trying to kill him

That’s easier than putting in a lot of time at the practice range.
Would be nice, but I don’t see how too many Democrats could politically get around voting for the Respecting the Sacrifice of Our Fallen Officers, Wenjian Lui, Rafeal Ramos Memorial Act. I can picture Boehner and McConnell doing a joint presser with very concerned face Kathy McMorris Rogers standing in the back as Boehner and McConnell claim the president and Democrats are putting good police officers at risk by refusing to sign off on the bill. Politically I think its a big loser for Dems to fight it.
That’s her job.
NYPD, NYPD, uber alles…
Soon, fellow law-abiding loyal and patriotic citizens, we shall achieve our goal of uplifting and deifying our natural superiors, our polizei ubermench…our brave law-upholders, the pride of Murka.
For total safety and ultimate security from the Blah hordes, Heil!
ESPECIALLY the BLM.
But I know, I know…the GOP would demand a “clean bill” and screech about how Democrats “hated Murka” by wanting cops to die with their “politically divisive”, “special interest Union-kowtowing” amendments.
It’s already a crime (18 U.S. Code § 1114 - Protection of officers and employees of the United States) to kill a federal employee while they are doing their job, which makes the shit that went down in Nevada even more ridiculous.
A cop once told me that people who who have the DARE bumper stickers are usually illegal drug users.
In some states criminals face the death penalty for killing a law enforcement officer, lets vote for equal justice and have law enforcement officers also face the death pentalty for wrongfully killing citizens that they are under oath to serve and protect.
