Hensley described Kobach’s comments as “beyond the pale…"

I found this to be, all things considered, an interesting choice of words.

Kris Kobach is taking race-baiting and voter suppression to an obscene artform.

If you can’t beat them democratically, then smear them and take away their constitutional rights

Kobach is bad, that’s for sure, but “most racist” might be stretching it a bit, given that I can think of scads more that are at least as bad as he.

A little honesty from the state that gave us John Brown. It’s about time.

One of the top Democrats in Kansas described Secretary of State Kris
Kobach (R) as “the most racist politician in America” and called for his
resignation on Saturday, according to the Topeka Capital-Journal.

Whereas, I appreciate the righteous anger of Mr. Hensley, the field of competitors for “The Most Racist Politician in America” is so large and competitive, Some sort of “round robin tournament” would need to be run in order to settle the matter once and for all. At least annually.

Are you thinking of some sort of state contest where the winner would then compete for the national title?

And soon to be Kansas’ next US senator; thank you for not voting.

Exactly, a kind of “Miss America” for bigots.

That phrase (Pale should be capitalized) refers to something beyond accepted boundaries.
Pale is derived from the Latin “palus” which means fence or boundary (paling fence and impale also come from the same Latin root). It has nothing to do with the modern definition of pale meaning colorless.

Catherine the Great created the Pale of Settlement for Jews in 1791, and there were Pales in other European countries as early as the late 1300s—the Pale of Dublin, The Pale of Calais—and the first printed reference to the term was in 1657.

As you say, an unintended pun.

Most Racist? I think Rep. Steve King (R-Stupid) or Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Morons) would give him a run for the money.

Kansas is a hotbed of bad stuff—

A sort of March Madness for racists. We could even make brackets and sit around the water cooler talking about which racist is doing the most this year.

I doubt he will take on Moran after passing on challenging Roberts (he would have won sadly). More likely to run for governor – would be favorite in primary, even over Rep Jenkins

You mean something like March Madness? ACC & SEC would probably monopolize that event also.

This racist moron states that President Obama “has already done what the caller suggests in the context of voting civil rights statutes”?? What precisely is he talking about?? But really, how is what he is saying much different than what MItch McConnell is doing in the Senate, basically telling both U.S. state governments and foreign nations to ignore the President?
Republicans are all racist traitors, since the time of their plaster “saint” Ronnie Reagan, who transformed them from the Party of Lincoln into the Party of Jefferson Davis – i.e., the Party of Southern Traitors.
