And she argued that Trump will make for a better president than Hillary Clinton, writing that Clinton “lacks the integrity to be President.” She added that Trump could channel his unusual campaign into positive change in Washington.
This feels weird, but citations please.
“Well, as long as we agree that he’s not going to deport 11 million people, or build that wall, or re-negotiate trade agreements, or ever talk to or about any women, I think we’re good.”
“I find them hurtful and I think they are hurtful to the party, a party that has been founded on equal opportunity for all.”
Irony is dead.
Did he promise to make you a Trump Girl?
“Mr. Trump certainly disrupted this unique campaign.” she wrote. “It is my hope that his disruption will be positive - not just to win in November, but to radically transform the way government works so it stops making the centralized federal bureaucracy more powerful, and starts serving and empowering people again.”
I swear, they just don’t teach American history any more.
well
she isn’t going to adore that upcoming present.
The GOP is finally offering a candidate that it’s base can believe in; racist, vile, aggressive, misogynistic, misinformed, angry, violent, and stupid.
Of course he’s ultimately going to get the support of the party. It’s not like they’re going to vote for HRC. To think otherwise has been stupid for months.
But I will admit to enjoying watching the squirming, left-handed, non-complimentary way the party bigs are using to go about their ‘support’.
I’m guessing, and not laying down any money on bets, that she’s one of the top three contenders for the VP slot. She probably realizes that she has no future as the No. 4 Republican in the House so why not.
EDIT TO ADD: For Rump she ticks off all the boxes:
A woman
Not very bright
Easily pliable by the Party
Has a disabled Child
Have I forgotten anything?
As I said, he promised to make her a Trump Girl.
It’s in the same Facebook post from which all the other quotes are extracted, silly.
“As the highest-ranking Republican woman in Congress, the mother of a son with Down syndrome, and a friend to people of all walks of life, I offer a unique perspective,” she said. “Today was my first opportunity to discuss and impress upon the presumptive nominee the importance of championing a core value of the Republican Party: dreaming big for everyone and turning its back on no one.”
I bet Trump does a great mocking imitation of someone with Down Syndrome. McMorris Rodgers should look for it from the podium when Trump brags about how she surrendered and got down on her knees before him and pledged fealty.
Atta girl.
“As the highest-ranking Republican woman in Congress, the mother of a son with Down syndrome, and a friend to people of all walks of life, I offer a unique perspective,” she said.
That of a triple-self-loather. Unique indeed.
well if Ryan continues to hedge, she might have a ‘decent chance’ to be the second female House speaker.
Confession from a cranky old lady.
Went to the Department of Driver Services yesterday. I noticed there were some people out front with clip boards so when I came out I went over to check it out.
They were trying to get signatures to add someone the the Presidential ballot here in Georgia. I told them it was to late for that. Why are you doing this I asked. Because ” crooked Hillary ” can’t be the winner the man said. So, I asked him….” who are you voting for ” ?
He kind of looked around and then whispered ” Trump ” . I said… ” Why whisper that, are you embarrassed ” ? He didn’t answer so I said.
” You know what the three of you should be doing instead of this , you should be going out and getting the 800,000 unregisisted people here in Georgia registered to vote and making sure they all have the proper id required to do so ”
Then I turned to the young lady that was with them and said to her. ” Why would a woman vote for Donald Trump, don’t you have any self respect ? ”
As we drove away, I yelled at all them… ” Shame on you….shame on you….shame on you ” ?
My son couldn’t stop laughing….
Well, let’s admit she has a good point: when the name Donald Trump is mentioned “Integrity” is the very first thing most of us think of.
that’s just making her concession statement far more scarier…
well actually I think of Vincent Kennedy McMahon when I think of integrity…wait
This is getting painful to watch. Not that I hold out any hope for the moral compass of the Republican party or leadership, but, really, the self-delusion and lies one must have to tell oneself Especially for a woman.
Wait till Rump really shows what he thinks of her. Whatever she’s had to suck up to in the past will look absolutely benign in comparison.
Wow, a complete abdication of personal and professional responsibility dressed in the treacle of a furtive “hope” her lackluster candidate seems psychologically unable to offer. Kathy needs a news polyester outfit to both obscure and soothe the hole where her soul once lived…
