Iād love to ask that guy and his female companion how come they are carrying around giant staple guns wrapped in flags. I know I know - but thatās really what they look like and it would please me to tell them that.

Flags are just symbols. America is only as strong as we are. We should be stronger than a piece of cloth or paper.
True but the Flag is also a perfect distraction to what is really being threatened - Medicare and Social Security.

When flag burning was an issue people got riled up over sometime back in the 1980s, Antonin Scalia was the fifth vote in a 5-4 decision holding that flag burning was speech. I have always remembered that.
Yes. I have always remembered this. It was a 5-4 decision with some normally reliable āliberalā votes coming down on the flag-burning-is-not-speech side of the fence.
We in the Commonwealth think it started with Hampshire College, a small very liberal college in Amherst. (Note, we often think that we started stuff, but I think we have a good case this time.)
This is a good summary below. In short - first a flag burning, then it was put at half-staff, then the College Administration took it down as a ādivisive symbol,ā then veterans groups started to protests at the campus.

Drumpf wants to punish people who burn the flag, but he has no problem with using it to polish his life style and then walk all over it with his muddy boots.
Good for your son! I attended a flag-burning ceremony recently, the Scouts did most of the work and were there for hours.

I rummaged around Chez Darr lookinā fer an American flag to torch out in my front yard for the neighborhood to seeā¦ but all I could find was a 3 X 5 inch version of the Mexican flag and that just wouldnāt do aātall.
