I’d be surprised if trump and McTurtle don’t walk back this nomination by the end of the week - trump’s handlers could make this tremendously flawed SCOTUS candidate a martyr and in the process, energize their base prior to the mid-terms. Never underestimate the cynicism of the republican party.

As to the fraternity we need to know if he was a legacy or did they recruit him? Fraternities recruit like minded guys, especially in the 80s. Yeah they have to take legacies but that frat with that rep seems out of character to the guy with integrity.

One of the (many) ludicrous aspects of this is that it’s up to the president to initiate an FBI investigation. It’s not simply that he won’t. He doesn’t seem to know that it’s on him to do it. Trump publicly stated that it’s up to the Senate to do that, not him, so he’s leaving it in their hands.
Once again proving that neither he, nor any of his staff or cabinet apparently, know what the hell they’re doing.
Meanwhile, a second accuser has come forward, and a third who is pushing back on Mike Judge’s denials (an ex-girlfriend he apparently confided in… oops).
Yes, time for the FBI to do what they are hired to do. Investigate.
