But, but, he has excellent sucking up qualities. Doesn’t that count?
Is that CNN-speak for “political hack”?
Absolutely right and obvious to all thinking people
including: “I would indict Hillary Clinton” in one of his job interviews on the tv
Yah think?
I saw part of this this morning. My first thought, as always, was: Who gives a fuck what Ken Starr thinks?
I would like to see him and Frothy Rectorum take a long vacation to Chernobyl together.
Hack, hack, hack…cough. Feature, not bug.
Also this corruption: https://www.thedailybeast.com/matthew-whitaker-acting-attorney-general-once-used-his-justice-bona-fides-to-tout-scam-business?ref=home Smells like Trump University.
When Keith Schiller replaces Jim Mattis, and Sean Hannity becomes Chief-Of-Staff, Whitaker will seem relatively well-qualified.
It’s hardly news by now but even if this weren’t an assault on the rule of law, it’s an expression of how Trump has zero regard for putting the best people in these positions. This guy’s a bigoted hack on his best day. Trump seems literally unable to perceive excellence, much less attain it himself.
Seems discussion pages are acting up once again. Bad Gateway and all… just about every page says there is only 1 comment, then when you open 10/11/33…

And, yes, I knew they did that!
The same can be said of everyone in the administration and goes triple for the man occupying the presidency. Stature and experience are not words associated with Trump or anyone in his cabinet.
Whitaker lacks the sense of survival to know that he is walking into a mine field and he is going to get blown to pieces and Trump would not even contribute to his defense fund. Even Jeff Sessions was smart enough to see that.
That’s a very good point. For a moment, let’s just ignore the fact that he was appointed solely to impede a criminal investigation. We all get that, but it’s important to remember he’s putting this completely unqualified, unprepared person in charge of the top law enforcement agency in the country. That’s dangerous for our security and safety for a multitude of reasons.
a person not with the stature, nor with the experience
in other words a perfect Trump choice
- only thing for sure - absolutely would never, never, never
vote to use the Twenty-fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution
All right. Now the good, shoe-leather reporters need to get to work. Including verifying all Whitaker’s degrees and other credentials, and everything else on his CV. Then careful checks of public records wherever he’s lived, property tax records, court filings, etc. etc. Never know what will turn up.
Toobin’s the smartest political analyst on TV and in print and in many books. Give it a rest.
