Among other things Pretty much
Oh, Iâm certain that the Trump base will finally wake up and finally acknowledge what a bunch of scummy deplorables the entire Trump family is.
And, then againâŚmaybe not.
Well, make it a big deal now!
The lying and distortion against Mrs. Clinton is continuing even now. Step up. Do the right thing. Grill Donald, then ask him again and again. He owes her an apology.
The media knows Obama was born in Hawaii, right?
He added that he feels a measure of personal responsibility for talking about Clintonâs emails on CNN too much during the 2016 election âŚ
No doubt he's reached out to Hillary to personally express his regret and offer an apology.
Cue the arguments that go something like thisâŚ
âHillary did it and nobody cared. Itâs only an issue when Republicans do it!â
âOh come on, everyone does itâŚâ
Yeah, except that plenty of people âcaredâ and millions of $$ were spent by FBI, State, Congress, et al investigating Clintonâs use of a private server and private email, and of using that private server for State business, and she was roundly castigated for it. The final report said she had not followed proper procedure, etc. It did not, however, rise to the level of a âcriminal actâ.
In these cases (Ivanka and others) itâs obvious hypocrisy, and I suspect itâs intended to hide those communications from the official record. That may also have been true in Clintonâs case. Not saying it wasnât. But here we are again once more with the pots calling the kettle black, and the GOP-related people blaming others for their own actions.
Again, it doesnât matter if Susie was in the cookie jar earlier. YOU are now in the cookie jar, and YOU are supposed to know (and follow) the rules. Do I have to invent a new mega-hashtagâŚ?
#GOPStopBlamingOthersAndTakeResponsibilityForYourOwnActions
The news media made it a big deal.
If we didnât have non news there would be very little news.
And the Repubs like to harp on others feeling entitled! Such BS!
Da News is about monetizing fundamentally boring political stories. Because the rightwing has a reasonably well organized Meme & Outrage Machine, it can work hard to keep a story around far longer than its proper sell-by date. Thus all outlets (even the non rightwing ones) can run harder, faster, longer, higher with a non-story and capture attention (i.e., money) with it over a long time. How else to explain the losing Whitewater investment that led to an impeachment. Once editors get caught up in manufactured frenzy, stupid things happen. The NYT and WaPo and some sober tv-news channels have a way of getting snookered, over and over. Note their current âcaravanâ coverage.
youâd think they would be making a bigger deal of the waste of $200 Million on putting the troops on the border.
Well at least he realizes his own culpability in the Clinton email stupidity. That is a step in the right direction.
Youâre too funny!
I would like to go back and pull out about 50 quotes from Toobin and his disparagement of Hillary Clinton. This guy has a tremendous grasp of the obvious and always makes his pronouncements in stentorian tones that impart an extra dose of authority. Yeah, irony died quite a while ago, Jeff. Now go back to your usual both sides do ti bullshit and leave the rest of us to grieve.
I think IT IS an OUTRAGE that Democrats WILL SEIZE on this and hold HEARING after HEARING over Ivankaâs EMAILS about YOGA and lululemon RECEIPTS considering REPUBLICANS gave Clinton a PASS.
Irony is dead, or maybe this was just another example of something called âThe Clinton Rulesâ i.e. if a Clinton does the exact same thing that anybody else does, thereâs something scandalous about it, automatically.
I agree. I think thereâs a strong argument to be made that the Wingnut Wurlitzer, as they call it, along with the very serious NYT in their coverage of the email non-story story probably cost Hillary the election. It all came together brilliantly to just keep whafting that indeterminate odor of inaccountability around Clinton for weeks and weeks after a normal nothingburger story would have been long forgotten. Then Comeyâs letter dropped and she was toast.
Lock. Her. Up.
letâs bring matt lauer out of âretirementâ and give him a script of all the questions he asked hillary, and he can have a cozy interview with ivanka to straighten it all out
But, did bleachbag have a SERVER? I donât think so!
I was all about the email SERVER.
See how easy this is?
Irony committed suicide the day he came down the golden escalator.
