AOC is marvelous (not perfect, but still marvelous), and I think sheās just the tip of a future-politic iceberg. I can almost guarantee weāre getting plenty more like her in 2020.
Her positions and policies reflect a very solid majority of Americans. Somewhere in the vicinity of 70% want real action on climate change, want universal single-payer healthcare for all, want tuition-free public education (through the college level), want income and taxation inequality addressed. Hell even 70% agree that the wealthiest (e.g. people who earn >$10,000,000/yr) should have a higher tax bracket than say, the $500k bracketā¦
Regardless, with her sudden-onset-popularity and extremely progressive platform, she could have been Grace Kelly and theyād still be vilifying her. The GOP plays Whack-a-Mole politics better than anyoneā¦
