Well, we are trying to get rid of a sick puppy, so it works.
That seems like a pretty lurid headline for an innocuous story.
What a wonderful Idea! Using a cute animal to help rid ourselves of an ugly, rabid animal. Use Kittens, too, as long as everyone is happy and the cute ones are safe!
(Reminder of the day: The UK declares War on Nazi Germany-1939. Find a veteran, thank him or her, and share a kitty or a puppy too!)
I’d like a pony.
I voted for the first time in 1972 when I was living as an out-of-state college student. I don’t recall exactly how I accomplished it - I think it was some kind of mail-in ballot. But I do recall that no one solicited me to register nor to vote. I was really excited to do it for the first time in my life. Subsequently I’ve voted in every single election except for one (long story about that one) and except for some local-only elections that I had no clue about.
I’m kind of grumpy about this topic and I’m likely to say quotable grumpy old-guy things about these generations who think voting is unnecessary and useless. If emotional bribes and flashy advertising work, then I guess that’s ok.
This article needs a photo of the puppies, not Tom Steyer. But seriously, this is a great idea. Whatever it takes to encourage young people to vote. Glad to see this is being done in Iowa – there are plenty of young liberals on the university campuses here.
Where was my therapy puppy during the wee hours of the morning of Wednesday, November 9th, 2016?
And every single day since then?
I had the same reaction!
While I appreciate what Mr Steyer is trying to do, I am and shall always be a cat person…
Not to be outdone, Walker is allowing his prospective voters to pet therapy porcupines. That way, they’ll clearly understand the world of hurt coming their way.
Note to Tom Steyer;
Use your money to fund another ACORN style group. The Republicans wanted it destroyed for a reason.
waiting for you at the animal shelter - go pick him up
DEMS REACH OUT TO CAT PEOPLE
A new program allows cat people to register from home without 'having to go out and deal with it."
Website to register has all-day kitten cam of kittens that have already been adopted, so no need to worry about them. Plus for every friend you get to register, an adult cat is funded to be fostered at an old folks home.
Bonus: a toy cat guaranteed to play with for at least 3 minutes for the first 100 new voters to register.
That’s a great idea! But, I think that my two cats (both shelter rescues) would object.
I TAKE IT BACK eleventy times over.
as cats are superior to dogs
thank you for adopting a shelter cat (we have 2)
I’ve been petting my therapy puppy every day, but I think it has been a bit too much for the dog.
We’re gonna need a bigger puppy.
What are they, libertarian? We’ve got ours, eff you shelter mutt!
