This, coming from a guy who still hasn’t wiped that smarmy smile off his face. Sadly, this is still Tweety’s go-to-guy whenever his ratings take a dramatic dip. Probably one of the most corrupt Majority Leaders of the House along with being the most unscrupulous amoral Representatives to ever grace the halls of Congress in general. Maybe a convicted felon would be considered by some reasonable folk to be, um, lawless? Republicans unfortunately wouldn’t fall in that category. Anything the president does = “lawless.”

Take a close look at what DeLay is saying…he is also saying that its a “lawless” SCOTUS. So he wants to impeach the President and the SCOTUS. He is essentially talking about conducting a coup.
Which is what these people are careening towards. They cannot abide by an elected government anymore, because they are in the minority with the electorate. So they are moving towards excluding voters that won’t vote for them, and impeaching anyone they still can’t beat.
There was an interview some weeks back, I think with Gowdy, discussing Ryan as a potential House speaker. Gowdy made the comment that if he were starting over, and rebuilding the country from scratch, he would pick Ryan to run things. That was an extremely telling comment on so many levels. Notice it was not “I would want Ryan to be ELECTED to run things”. They simply have no use for democracy.
