Just heard an analyst say that, even if many of us disagreed with his policies, that Bossert was competent and knowledgeable about his job. Does this leave anyone with those characteristics left in the White House?

Bossert, a favorite of Chief of Staff John F. Kelly, is leaving one day after national security adviser John Bolton began the job. Bossert, an ally of former national security adviser H.R. McMaster, was believed to be on shaky footing in the Bolton era.

Before I was worried about how other countries negotiate with us if we elect someone who will tear up treaties every few years. Now it looks like we are changing course year to year and often in the same day. Countries can’t be expecting us to negotiate in good faith.

By all accounts, Bossert isn’t the sharpest arrow in the quiver. He was successfully speer-phished by a hacker — even though he’s the fucking homeland security advisor. But, yes, his real crime appears to be that he’s not psychotic, and he apparently wasn’t in Bolton’s tiny little camp during the W admin.

edit: duh, because John Bolton fired him, not the dotard. And even John Bolton has more class and respect for others than does Donald Trump.
