Discussion: Todd Akin Re-Emerges: Hillary Clinton 'Delegitimized' Rape Victims

Discussion for article #224383

What did Todd Akin actually do wrong? His political career unraveled because he repeated a standard GOP position out loud.

On second thought, maybe we should be trying to make them state their views openly this way more often…

Yo, Akin,… your mouth…you need to shut that thing down

Why do Repugs hate the Constitution?

“The Sixth Amendment guarantees the rights of criminal defendants, including the right to a public trial without unnecessary delay, the right to a lawyer…”

See, the Brit press knows how to gin up reader excitement…
Here in America, this morning, viewers were treated to the North Korean dictator getting the fair & balanced equivocation, “Well, he may have a point. I don’t know,”* regarding the PRK’s ire at a comic film from airhead morning network meat puppets.

Do the GOPERs really want the old bands coming back (Akin, Rove, Cheney …)?

What an idiot. But hey, if Akin wants to keep peddling the same pseudo-science, I say, “Please Proceeed.”

What Akin really meant was “Hillary Clinton blah blah blah Hillary Clinton blah blah blah Hillary Clinton blah blah blah Hillary Clinton blah blah blah.”

He’s really the last person that should be commenting on rape any context. That being said, it’s becoming quite apparent that these uber-patriotic Americans aren’t that patriotic with their treatment of Bergdahl, and the prevailing opinion that only certain people deserve legal defense.

And he’s doing it again. He’s repeating the right wing position that an attorney defending someone the attorney believes may be guilty of a crime is wrong, evil and proof of the moral depravity of the evil depraved “trial lawyer.” (Unless, of course, a wealthy white man is accused of a crime.)

Todd Akin, like George Will, sees nothing wrong with rape. Either it’s consensual behavior or too many hormones. I think they both hit the bottle too much. Alcohol is never an excuse for being so publicly stupid and making statements that insult all females.

I disagree. Keep talking Todd. We’d LOVE to make this election about Republicans views on women, rape, and women’s healthcare.

You knew it would come to this before too long: people who say rape is bad are the true rapists.

he can’t resist using that qualifier “legitimate” again, either

According to rich men who defend date rape and the Christian Wrong, Eve is the root of all evil and all women are her devil daughters…Hillary in particular, because she didn’t fold when the Republicans gang raped her during the impeachment.

Women are by nature sensuous, randy sinners who want “it” more than they know…far more than most conservative men are capable of satisfying? Perhaps that’s why God provided an apple for Eve instead?

Makes perfect sense if you are trying to defend rape.

You fired the first silly shot idiot. Firing Back is another stupid move. Akin is a good example of chasing power and now money with a big empty head.

HRC was a defense attorney who did her job. Which is even worse than murdering Vincent Foster, apparently.
