So when everyone is packing heat, the first response to any confrontation is to draw down on them. That’s the polite, civilized way to handle any situation.

I’ve known a number of people who reach for their gun every time they hear the word “culture”. Gun ownership is clearly the next step on the path to Fascism–after you decide you want to control other people’s behavior. After that , just about any human interaction can become an excuse to pull your piece. “We shall manage our social contract via the threat of death.” Some people believe this is a good foundation upon which to build a civilization. I would disagree.

I guess we have to be grateful that she decided to run away instead of standing her ground. I mean, that man came toward her, and he had his hands (!) in his pockets (!!). That should be good enough for an instant death penalty. So, she demonstrated enormous restraint. Next spokesperson for the NRA?
