It doesn’t matter how she talks or what she says at this point because it isn’t about the words she used or what she said. They’re simply seeking to otherize her and cast her as the scary Muslim woman. The only people who it appears to be working with are antisemites and/or islamophobes. Literally everyone else sees through it.

Tlaib is creating an opening for a conversation that is not allowed in the official public arena. Those of us with a historical bent have been appalled for years at what Likud has been doing to Israel. The victims have become the abusers. The world was too tired after WWII to help solve the homeland problem that worked for both sides. Since Rabin’s assassination the country has been on the wrong track, with sides hardening like we see in the US, with no hope for reconciliation.
