Discussion for article #225861
“The Times of Israel has what it describes as an “open blog platform,” a system under which bloggers are permitted to “post their own items” after they have been approved.”
Clarification, s’il vous plait. Are the bloggers approved and then allowed to post anything, or is each blog post approved?
Must be approved then all bets are off. I just sent them a complaint about another blog post using the Book of Samuel in the Torah to justify Genocide in Palestine.
The weirdo in this case was referring to the Palestinians as “present-day Amalekites” and advocated killing them all, women and children included (apparently ethnic cleansing isn’t enough for some people).
Times of Israel has a blogger problem.
The articles about this are so poorly written.
The blogger has now apologized:
Apology from Yochanan Gordon
I never intended to call to harm any people although my words may have conveyed that message.
I wish to express deep regret and beg forgiveness for an article I authored which was posted on 5TJT.com, Times of Israel and was tweeted and shared the world over.
I never intended to call to harm any people although my words may have conveyed that message.
With that said I pray and hope for a quick peaceful end to the hostilities and that all people learn to coexist with each other in creating a better world for us all.
Yochanan Gordon
I was actually hoping (after the fact) both of these articles were more of “A Modest Proposal” kind of thing until I see the apology.
Fox appearance can’t be too far off.
And no charges were filed…
Yet if Israel can’t bomb Palestinians back to the stone age, next up, it’s boxcars to the gas chambers again for the Jewish people.
yeah well the other guy’s call for genocide, the one rooted in biblical gibberish, is still up:
“If anyone was offended by me suggesting that some people who are different than me are worthy of being killed en masse just because I don’t like them or trust them, I’m sorry.”
It’s easy when the standard Republican apology can be copied and pasted from the GOP website.
The genocide blog is pretty much mainstream Israel. It says out loud what too many really think. If you flew to Israel, put on an Obama T-shirt and openly protested the Gaza operation on the streets of Tel Aviv you’d be beat near to death. George Orwell’s “1984” is a perfect setting for today’s Israel.
His father, Larry Gordon, puts out the 5Towns Jewish Times from Laurence, Long Island and was shocked(!) to discover that this article by his son had appeared in his publication.

"Editor’s Note
An article that was posted earlier today on our website dealt with the question of genocide in a most irresponsible fashion. We reject any such notion or discussion associated with even entertaining the possibility of such an unacceptable idea.
The piece should have been rejected out of hand by editors but escaped their proper attention. We reject such a suggestion unequivocally and apologize for the error."
Of course, the idea that these hateful thoughts of a Palestinian genocide might be prevalent amongst certain citizens of the very Jewish Five Towns enclave or under Larry Gordon’s own roof is unimaginable.
Sheldon Adelson own this fanatic propaganda outlet, why is anyone surprised at mercenary diatribe from the 24% of Likud blood lusters, running that country, and, trying to own, err, run ours.
You’re kind of funny in a sad way.
The author is an American. This figures: the most fanatic and unregenerate “settler Jews” are of American origin I am ashamed.
Another American jew
The Nixon WH tapes that were recently released describe a conversation between Nixon, Haldeman and Ehrlichman and they’re talking about Kissinger’s being a Jew and Nixon says:
You know, his people were crucified over there. Jesus Christ! And five million of them, popped into bake ovens!
“post their own items” after they have been approved.
“This trust has rarely been abused,” the staff explained in the statement. “We are angry and appalled that it was in this case, and will take steps to prevent a recurrence. We will not countenance blog posts that incite to violence or criminal acts.”
One of these things isn’t like the other. And this organization is trying to have it both ways. “After they have been approved”? So it was approved, or wasn’t it?
Nice try, but no dice.
That would explain why Netanyahu wears a T-shirt saying “I Heart Mitt.”
And you know this, how? Did you personally wear an Obama T-shirt and get beat near to death? Did you personally protest the Gaza operation on the streets of Tel Aviv and get beat near to death? Can you link to anyone who did either of those and who got “beat near to death”? Otherwise, go away.
