If there are in fact multiple shooter involved, that says something really unfortunate about our anti-terrorism capabilities. We can apparently catch deadbeats who have little or no chance of doing serious damage without “informants” to help them along, but a real deadly conspiracy apparently goes entirely unanticipated.
So we all hope for one vigilante. Sigh. If I wasn’t so sad, I’d be throwing “2nd Ammendment Remedy” in front of my gun loving friends

This latest senseless attack puts the lie to the NRA’s imbecilic slogan that “the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.” The bad guy with a gun in Dallas was outnumbered maybe 100 to one by good guys with guns protecting the marchers. But the bad guy had a semiautomatic rifle and the element of surprise on his side, and five police officers were killed before they could corner the gunman.The easy availability of semiautomatic weapons, which have been the weapons of choice in all recent mass shootings, should be banned. Unfortunately, it won’t because the NRA controls the Republican Party, which controls Congress.

I don’t trust Newt one bit. But I’m still glad he and Van had this conversation, and I can honestly say that I just spent 20 minutes listening to a conversation featuring Newt Gingrich, and it was actually time well spent.
