Discussion: Tillerson Scrubbed From State Dept Website

The disrespect rolls on,
The disrespect rolls on.
Amateur show on display on Trump’s Train
la de da de de, la de da de da.

(don’t know why the Sunny and Cher tune came to mind when I read this - except perhaps my visceral response of "Of Course they did. - or more appropriately: Par for the off-course.)

Does anyone else think that there will be a lawsuit about this erasure of information?
If you can delete with a few clicks and why not move to archive; petty, peevish, and petulant administration.

It’s like “disappearing” apostate politicians and bureacrats in Stalinist Russia. Erasing history.

In America, the best of them (photo editors) worked for the movies; in Soviet Russia they worked for a different kind of propaganda machine known as the State, not just producing official photos but going back to previous official photos and changing them to reflect the regime’s ever-shifting set of preferred alternative facts.

But it was during the Great Purges, which raged in the late 1930s, that a new form of falsification emerged. The physical eradication of Stalin’s political opponents at the hands of the secret police was swiftly followed by their obliteration from all forms of pictorial existence."

The Commies did this all the time when they replaced someone.

I doubt Big Oil is going to disrespected this way without there being some revenge enacted at a later date.

I can’t wait for the time when this whole Trump nightmare is erased from earth’s history all the way to eternity.
Hopefully it begins with Mueller soon so I can enjoy it for about 10 years or more.

Pathetic.

In addition to that change, links that had connected to Tillerson’s speeches, travels and other events now display those of Sullivan. The link to Tillerson’s biography as the 69th secretary of state returns a “We’re sorry, that page can’t be found” message.

Almost poetic justice in that this is the guy that wouldn’t take reporters on his plane, preferred to work in the dark despite his obligations to the American people, and often behaved as if he were still running a privately held corporation.

That being said, this was petty and mean-spirited and may the same happen to Trump very shortly.

I’d say Trump is being vindictive, but I’m afraid he’d think I meant vindicated.

In ‘Trump World’ nothing exists except the immediate. This way he can insist he never made a mistake and he is ONLY looking forward to the future when he ‘will look into it’.

Down the memory hole? Rex Tillerson is now an “unperson”? Orwell was a prophetic genius.
