Discussion: Tillerson Says Iran Nuclear Deal A Failure, Leaves Open Possibility Of Upholding It

It figures they would do this since Bibi is getting everything he wants with Trump. He wanted to bomb Iran, but I doubt our partners will, leave the Iran Deal. Boeing will be pissed as they’re selling Iran lots of jets. Maybe Rex will forget about getting out. Mattis told them they couldn’t withdraw because the the US gave their word & that means something. We’ll see I guess.

Yeah, and it’s great timing, too; Iran’s got an election coming up, and giving the more extreme candidate a club with which to bludgeon the comparatively moderate incumbent with whom we negotiated the deal is sheer diplomatic genius. Lord help us.

Trounce is pretty effing ignorant, that, is a given.
But I don’t believe he knew just how many Muslims and followers of Islam there are in this world.
Whites and especially white Christians are the minority. Of course they have big bombs for Jesus but not even a totally twisted perception of the Bible calls for raining bombs down on the ME because of their religion which is just a version of the same fricking God.

If trounce continues down this path, I’ll say that Allah strikes back and bitch slaps his corpulent ass back to the stone age.

It’s failed? You mean they have a nuke? Somebody better tell the intelligence community.

The exact same thing the Bush administration did with North Korea.
“The UN has people on the ground inspecting the nuclear plants there? Not good enough! Let’s scrap that deal and force them to the table.”

“Hey that worked great! Let’s try it again with Iran.”

Gee, who knew international relations could be so hard?

The agreement between Iran and the international community holds Iran to defined and verifiable development of any nuclear capabilities, be they medical, industrial or whatever use for a set number of years. Without this agreement, Iran would very likely develop nuclear armament within the next few years – not the decade or more that this agreement guarantees so long as everyone keeps up their end. Nothing is permanent, nothing is ever written in forever stone. Diplomacy and international (multi in this case) relations requires thoughtful give and take – not belligerence.

Sound like the same stragity they used for Obamacare. I’m guessing all their new plans to “fix” things else will follow suit?

Tillerson is as big a liar as the Dolt45 that nominated him…

Limit and control…NOT ELIMINATE…BLOODY LIAR.

Looking for or creating a problem that is NOT THERE…

I guess he was for it before he was against it?

Tillerson is putting the lives of everyone serving overseas at risk with this kind of talk. Whee.

Hey, they pay their dues to Trump they can have whatever they want. Get in line.

And imposing new sanctions on Iran could ensure that their oil would be off the world market, providing more demand for Russian oil…

“Secretary of State Rex Tillerson declared the Iran nuclear deal a failure on Wednesday because he has not personally made any money off of it.”

Compulsive public self-fellatio would explain most of it.

Yeah, he’s pretty much saying, “I never wanted this in the first place, but since I’m stuck here, I might as well do a half-assed job of it.”

Exactly. All this harrumphing about everything Obama is getting a little repetitive and tired, especially when the best they can do is continue most of his major policies.

That’s one of most ominous – and specific – outcomes I’ve heard of.
