I wonder why ?

Can he legally accept this award, while serving as SoS?

Here’s your shiny bauble for unleashing a runaway greenhouse effect and making Venus great again, T’s Rex! What are you going to do next??!

I’m going to Disneyland! If by Disneyland I mean hell, because I don’t give a flying fuck about my grandkids, or my grandkids’ grandkids. Which I do. Screw you guys. I’m going home.

Probably not, since gifts are supposed to be turned over to the National Archives I believe, but on the State Dept.'s own website it says “diplomatic gifts” not just “gifts” so I’m sure he’ll figure out a way to keep that shit and make some excuse around it. None of these fuckers in this administration does the right thing or even what’s considered normal protocol.

Its another pretty clear violation of the Emoluments Clause. This is from an international organization, after all. And there is a pretty long history of even Presidents not being allowed to receive and keep personal gifts while in office from international organizations (its up to Congress to determine if the President can keep any personal gifts. I would assume that the same definitely applies to the Secretary of State).
