Decimating the State Department is Putin’s payoff. We’re not going to abandon NATO and it’s bad timing to lift sanctions. Obliterating State is akin to giving Putin a green light in Europe.

Wish I could rec this 10X. For all intents and purposes, America has NO State Dept. Feral trumpers think this is a great development while the rest of us and the world worries incessantly what we will let Russia get away with on our watch.

The fear really isn’t what would happen in here in America but what would happen to N.K.'s closest neighbors. I don’t think Xi Jinping is up for tolerating this fool when so much is at stake in his area. This issue is not WWIII so much as it’s America kicking a hornets nest and creating a war within the Pac Rim.

Any war in the Pac Rim, is going to directly involve American troops. And once it involves American troops,it will involve Chinese troops. Those two things are wed to each other, and guaranteed to happen in that order. What happens after that get dicey, but the possibility of such a conflict spilling over into other arenas is definitely there.

Because of this…the rapid and sudden loss of State Dept influence world wide, not only reduces our power, it also creates voids everywhere, which other countries will try and fill. And escalating conflict on the Korean pennisula that is dragging both China and USA into armed hostilities? That’s the green light for everyone else in the world to do their own thing…the Iran-Saudi regional cold war…goes hot. India-Pakistan? Time to settle that score. Russia-Baltic States and the Ukraine? With America tied down, go for it. Hell, Britan-Spain over Gibraltar…lets redo the naval conflicts of the 1600s!

Byron York snarkily tweeted there is no payoff the other day after Tillerson said the sanctions would stay in place. People are completely ignoring Tillerson is destroying the State Department and who benefits.
