Bastard left the cats to fend for themselves? God damn you to hell, mister.
This is a bad one for the people of the NC and SC. I really wish the reporters would get out of the way. Standing out in the rain is silly. The 24 hour coverage is really unnecessary.and unfortunate because it paints a picture of destruction. If the result is less many will discount the next one.
People who leave pets to fend for themselves should have their pets taken away by ASPCA. What an a****.
More folks than you can imagine view pets simply as possessions, not living beings.
Authorities pushed back against any suggestion the storm’s threat was exaggerated.
Meanwhile, the voice that is Excellence In Broadcasting’s poster boy tells his dimwitted dittoheads that this too was all overblown, a conspiracy designed to dupe the uninformed into believing the climate change conspiracy.
In a private hangar at PBI (Palm Beach International) a crew dutifully performs its pre-flight checklist. They would be evacuating a VIP on his own plane today. Unlike the jet’s tail number N1EB, the rest of the Gulfstream G550 didn’t come nearly as cheap. (Thankfully, taxes and devaluation on the aircraft as well as its use were recently reduced.) It will be a long five-hour flight to LAX (Los Angeles International) for its lone occupant, I’m sure.

I thought that’s how the cats viewed the people…
This hurricane is going to blow worse than Trump…
So … you know cats, too.
Sorry.
Being that they are cats, I am putting my hope in them - they stand a better chance on their own than dogs would.
But damn him to hell just the same.
Few shelters allow pets. If you can’t afford a week’s stay in a hotel (and many hotels don’t allow animals either) what are you supposed to do? Stay put and try and ride it out? Weren’t we just mocking those fools earlier today?
A lot of people have to choose between moving themselves and their families to safety and their pets. There’s no reason to assume that decision was made cavalierly
OT Meanwhile near Boston gas explosions have caused 50 homes to go up in flames.
That’s just horrible. To our pets, we are everything.
Guy with the cats has a beach house. The storm surge may inundate the house and the cats could drown. . He should be more concerned that the cats might drown in the storm surge than whether or not they turn on each other or trash his house. Jaysus.
Crap, now Donnie’s going to have to divert the paper towel convoy heading to the Carolina’s, back to Boston.
Oh wait, Boston is in a Blue State.
Never mind…
When a hurricane comes you have days to figure out what you’ll do. The simplest thing for him would have been to pack up himself and the cats and move in with a friend or relative inland. These are sensitive, intelligent creatures that depend on him to take care of them and he’s just leaving them in the path of a disaster. The situation was not forced on him. Cats aren’t lesser beings, in my view. I hope they make it out OK. Him, he’s on his own as far as I care.
Between Boston and Florence, FEMA is gonna need a new theme song.
I’ve seen fire and I’ve seen rain
I’ve seen sunny days that I thought would never end
I’ve seen lonely times when I could not find a friend
But I always thought that I’d see you again.
They’re tough and smart. But a wall of water doesn’t respect that much. I’m thinking good thoughts for them, and for all the wild and domestic critters that will fight for their survival during this.
Dogs are trainable, cat’s are not, so this wouldn’t work.
full disclosure: own two dogs and six (6) cats.
fuller disclosure: they allow me and my wife to stay in the house with them.
