The Republican state senator revealed his real argument: The bill does not address all potential children, but rather women’s bodies.
So do you think that if things were flipped and women controlled everything, do you think we (women) would mandate vasectomies and outlaw prostate cancer treatment?
I was listening to NPR and the host asked former Shipt CEO Bill Smith to make a pitch for businesses to move to Birmingham. All the reasons he gave were good: easy commutes, affordable housing, good schools, etc: however, I believe companies will look at these regressive laws and pass on moving to Alabama.
There was a great meme going around in the past week or so that goes something like this: . "Since vasectomies can be reversed, mandate them for all males once they hit puberty and only let them reverse them when they have a signed note from the woman they have joined in matrimony that states she is ready to procreate. Oh…that’s the government intruding on a man’s body…really?
I’m confused…doesn’t this leave the male contributor to the fetus a co-conspirator??? Shouldn’t there be mandatory prison sentences for the male? With DNA sequencing finding the male partner shouldn’t be hard.
What does the made up phrase, “morning after pill” mean? Plan B equivalent levonorgestrel 1.5mg tablet? Or the abortion drug combo mifepristone and misoprostol, often dispensed by doctors in clinic? Plan B does not cause abortion. Frankly, everyone age 12 to 50 in Dixie should go get a couple of levonorgestrel tablets to keep in reserve, before those fucking bible thumpers make them illegal too. My Way brand costs $9.30 on Amazon Prime.
The problem is that these are representatives of a large electorate of people with truly horrible ideas as to what’s good for them and people like them. Everybody else is cartoonishly represented by Breitbart and Fox. It’s about hate and how that satisfies a part of some people’s brain like a good meal. It is truly sad.
At least they’re Christians though.
These folks are not making Barf, et al.’s job any easier. Reverse engineering the incoherence is going to be a two or three six pack problem in trying to overturn Roe V. Wade.
Hm so what’s the difference between these “lawmakers” and the Taliban seeking to control a women’s body and appearance? Not much it seems besides the accent…
