It hasn’t, but a lot of it has come out of the South. While I lived there, I learned that after the Civil War and the collapse of the Southern Aristocracy, the people in the South partnered with the houses of worship in order to convince the Southern lower classes that their reward was in Heaven while essentially eliminating the educational system. They did this especially to Black Southerners, but also to White Southerners and made sure that White Southerners hated Black Southerners. The whole myth of the glorious Antebellum South comes from this time. Pre-Civil War poor White Southerners were often in a horrific situation themselves and often not much better off than the slaves they looked down on.
Once Nixon took over, though, the Republicans did their best to spread this ideology across the nation.
Combining NC voter suppression and blatantly racist appeals to the cranky elderly whites who can be relied on to vote GOP, Tillis thinks this is the way to win.
Just another douchebag with poor grammar skills who thinks using the word ‘democrat’ as an adjective is a productive jab at Democrats. Will somebody explain the point of this willful ignorance to me?
He’s simply sticking with the classics, the same way a redneck band plays “Sweet Home Alabama” at least 3 times every Friday and Saturday night in Alabama.
The Hagan campaign must have started seen polls move in the wrong direction, so now we need to increase Black turnout. Are there any Democrats or Republicans for that matter actually campaigning on an agenda other than my opponent is…
And the two parties are wondering why more people are refusing to be identified with either of the two major parties.
Perhaps someone should tell him using pejoratives ( Democrat party ) isn’t a way to win the folks you are bad mouthing over. I thought GOP’ers would have outgrown that childish crap by now,.
