Discussion: 'They Told Me I Would Never See Her Again': Deported Parents Lose Kids To Adoption

Why is it that these ‘God- fearing’ proto-Fascists think they have a right to kidnap other people’s children and bring them up right?

I am absolutely sick that this is the country we have become.

A heartbreaking story. I just started reading The Child Catchers by Kathryn Joyce. This mentality, these actions on the part of so-called Christians has been going on for a long time.

If it makes you feel any better, this is actually the country we have always been. Yes, it’s worse under Trump (and more visible, in part because they want it to be) but please keep in mind that the ramping up of aggressive deportation policies actually began under Obama.

As for the forcible separation of children from their parents: it’s always been there, and it’s always been practiced against racial and ethnic minorities. And it’s always been sold as “for the good of the child”.

Yes I understand that this did not just start under Trump. But what I fear most with the zeal that Trump and Nielsen have unleashed in war to remove undocumented immigrants; and now even legal immigrants and naturalized citizens is that if we continue down this authoritarian xenophobic road is these kids will be adopted and later on then deported.

And I have a huge problem with state officers not knowing the law, the federal procedures, and apparently tuning a blind eye to even notifying the birth parent of what is happening to their child.

I understand this 2-yr old had to appear alone in court. She’s from Guatemala, appears to be in a laundry basket. Our Trump admin at work.

“”"“They now consider their relationship with mother and daughter part of God’s plan”""

And so it is done. It’s God’s fault. An excuse to steal a kid and blame it on Jesus. If there is a God I do hope He looks at religious lunacy with the same disfavor the rest of us do.

They think ‘their way’ is the ‘only way’.

Adios.

So the likelihood of violent injury or death isn’t a factor when deciding whether to grant asylum, but it is a factor when deciding whether to reunite a child with its parents. How convenient.

Monsters. We are in Handmaid’s territory in so many ways. Taking babies from their mothers to give to US families. These US couples are so damn selfish.

I don’t know whether all the families are selfish. It’s possible some of them are just deluded into thinking they’re doing the right thing. But when you read about a family that doesn’t speak a child’s native language and dresses her in american flag gear, it’s hard to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Just how sick have we become? The really scary part is I don’t think this is the bottom, we may not even be close yet.

Yet another example of saving the pagan native babies by bringing them to Christ, That is, this particular family’s version of Christ. The separation of children and parents and all the obstacles being put up to stop reunification should be classified as a crime against humanity. No wonder Bolton and Trump don’t want to be subject to any international tribunal.

I start to read these types of articles but cannot finish them. They are just too sad.

I wonder if right wing “people” in this country realize what I would do to them if they ever took my kids from me. There is literally nothing that would stop me from finding and tearing apart anyone who I even suspected was involved.

And I am fucking proud to say this. The reckoning is coming for these evil traitors. One way or the other.

Republicans are baby stealers and have no family values whatsoever since they have become the one source that destroys families faster than a speeding bullet. Soon, they will be taking the children from Democratic families. Keep your eyes open.
