Discussion for article #241341
Stuff!
–Jeb!
We need a wall on the National Mall. Maybe the GOP/Teatrolls will start fucking caring about this shit when they keep having to budget for additions to the wall.
The wall will enclose the entire mall.
I thought it was 10 dead.
I thought we decided we don’t need names?
This is just 2nd amendment collateral damage.
Let them pass and forget about them. Why waste time grieving when another batch will be along next week or the week after.
Think about all the feelings we’ll spare. No person need feel guilty about their relation to the shooter. No person needs to be reminded of their crippled or dead relatives. Lets not pick the scabs on our wounded hearts.
Nothing we can do but just let them go.
The tenth was the nameless loser sociopath.
Then there was the guy who rushed the shooter and lived. I wonder if there is a civilian version of the Silver Star or Navy Cross.
“A statement from Johnson’s family says he was a Christian and recently enrolled in school.”
What the fuck do I care if he was a christian or not? Are we supposed to care MORE that a POS christian got killed or are we supposed to celebrate the fact there’s one less of them around to torment and discriminate against their fellow humans?
I’ve silently accepted their bullshit for nearly 60 years now and I’m not taking any of it any more. Fuck the lot of them.
Something is just wrong here. I’ve all sorts of sympathy for the victims and their families, but this is just fucked up:
Interviews with almost a dozen residents of the rural Oregon community on Friday yielded unanimity on their biggest threats: gun control and Barack Obama…The deadliest mass killing in the state’s history had taken place a few miles away and to the staff and customers of the Roseburg Gun Shop it was clear they faced a grave threat – from Barack Obama.
I am so angry at this carnage, at the indifference of the religious community – most especially evangelical Christians – and especially the entire conservative movement.
Shame on Republicans.
I heard a parent of a college student who hid from the shooting interviewed. She echoed exactly what you state here - she wanted the listeners to know that residents want more guns and they blame the President for standing in their way. "If everyone was armed, this would not happen . . . . " I cannot comprehend their thinking and then am horrified as I realize that I doubt even daily mass shootings will ever make them reconsider.
Mrs. Von Holst read the article and simply said. “Well, you know, it’s comprehensible when you realize that they’re desperately afraid of losing their white privilege.”
