I appreciate why some European leaders are frustrated with the UK and want no part in helping the country get its shit together.
Unfortunately, ‘divide and conquer’ has been Putin’s strategy from the beginning. The rest of Europe needs to find a way to demonstrate some level of unity, regardless of whether/how Britain leaves the EU.
What’s maddening is that this should never have been submitted for a popular referendum in the first place. This is exactly the kind of issue that the average voter is not equipped to evaluate, lacking both the expertise and the information necessary to make a good decision.
