“There was no crash,” ICE spokesperson Leticia Zamarripa said.

“No collision! No collision!”

And the F-250 was “No obstruction! No obstruction!”

"Informed later that the paper had obtained a contradictory police report, ICE tried a different tactic.

The incident was a “fender bender not vehicle crash,” ICE spokesperson Adelina Pruneda told the paper, one that “resulted in minor damage to both vehicles.”

That was also at odds with the police report, which called the damage to the van “disabling,” and said it was towed from the scene."

A third spokesperson for ICE, who refused to provide a name, later released this statement:

“GOD! Ihateyousomuchandyourstupidquestionaskingfaceswhydon’tyoujustdiealreadyyouuglystupidbitches?”

What’s truly astonishing is that the ICE people are so stupid, it never occurred to them that there would be a police report about this, readily obtainable.

It’s like Collins’ insider trading. “Surely they’ll never be able to tell who I phoned, and when.”

These people are all amazingly bad at covering their tracks. And that’s a good thing.

There’s nothing this administration won’t lie about.

No wonder why Trumpists don’t believe anything.

So they have random contractors moving detainees around in vehicles that may not meet safety standards. How reassuring.

Also, from the original article:

an Alaska-based company that provides transportation for ICE in Central and South Texas.

How interesting.

It’s probably like Mariia Butina’s seeming belief that she would never be arrested by “Trump’s people.” ICE was convinced that the police would show solidarity with their LEO brethren and keep a lid on it.

You could also be right that they didn’t even think about it. I mean, who would expect a journalist to investigate an incident and look for multiple sources for their story? Totally ludicrous.

Some good news. From CNN:

In a fight between an F250 and a van, the F250 is gonna win.

In related news, in fight between a federal judge and Jeff Sessions, the federal judge is gonna win. A judge ordered a plane headed from Texas to El Salvador carrying a mother and child who are plaintiffs in the case challenging Sessions’ new stricter asylum standards to turn around and bring them back. They deported them in the middle of the lawsuit. Idiots.

ETA @katscherger beat me to it, with the actual link.

Absolutely, the judge is (going to win). He’s threatening to hold Sessions in contempt. Snicker.

LOL. We both must have been at the CNN website at the same time.
