Dark-colored clothing is recommended for the occasion. Women’s hemlines must cover knees; sleeves must hide elbows.
I can understand that. When Mrs Von Holst wears a floral print, modal blouse with cap sleeves and shows me a little elbow action, it takes all I can muster to control the heavy breathing and avoid running into the furniture.
The pictures that I saw of POTUS’ meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican seemed to indicate some amount genuine mutual friendship.
President Obama will make the most of his relationship with this Pope and hopefully vice versa.
As stated, they do not see eye to eye on everything and it’s no surprise that abortion is the main issue. I wonder if Pope Francis really and truly believes what he must declare as the Pope regarding abortion and women. Judging by the obviously liberal POV he has on everything else, I really doubt it.
Anyways, the good that can come from this meeting is worth it and shouldn’t be discounted because of the inability to agree on everything.
These two men have earned great respect and therefore have the ability to affect the world with something as simple as a small gesture.
I believe that Francis understands, unlike many of his predecessors, that it is a very complex matter and that there are no easy answers.
As the Pope doing the Pope’s job that is. I’m referring to him as a man, as the liberal man that he obviously is. I’m saying that he lives with a huge contradiction in his gut.

You are too sweet.
I agree but then this President aways shows such respect and dignity but in this case, I am sure it trumps all. As a former catholic, now atheist, this Pope is dealing in realities
This is the best garbled sentence I’ve seen in months! I have new hope for the Catholic Church. Imagine - an atheist pope!
