Discussion for article #227745
The Weekly Liar a more accurate name.
“He also drew attention to Moseley’s signature on an online petition that condemned “Israel’s ongoing massacre in Gaza” and described the offensive as “the latest chapter in more than a century of Zionist colonialism, dispossession, ethnic cleaning, racism, and genocide – including Israel’s very establishment through the uprooting and displacement of over 750,000 Palestinians during the 1947-1948 Nakba.””
Could not have said it better myself.
Shame on Warren for not correcting a Shoah survivor’s Holocaust comparisons. What do you expect from someone who wants to take money from rich people, like the Nazis?
Obviously, this Holocaust refugee is an anti-Semitic, left-wing Holocaust denier. What else could he be?
Just as obviously, Bill Kristol and his magazine are dedicated to dispassionately telling the truth because, Kristol is such a fine example of a public intellectual.
Because of course they did.
I think it is fair to say that Israel is treating the Palestinians the same way that America treated native Americans and the same way that Africans were treated in South Africa during the apartheid.
New York Times last Sunday says Jewish liberalism is finished. The moneyed elite control the Parliament, development in Gaza, the Golan Heights and all over Israel, and most live in New York–far from harm’s way. So they influence politics in New York and politics in Tel Aviv. The rise of the Oligarchy continues…
I think the Weakly Standard has made a big mistake in taking on Elizabeth Warren. She has a very facile mind that will tie them in knots. She will back them into a corner and bludgeon them insensate. Elizabeth Warren is not Helen Thomas.
Right-wing toadies are so despicable. They have to stoop to these tactics, because they need to create the appearance of equivalence to all these right-wingers who actually do say despicable things about women, blacks, immigrants, and Muslims.
I other developments Teh Weekly Standard has this morning denounced Donald Duck as being a Nazi sympathizer. Cited as evidence was a vintage WW2 film clip which Bill Kristol claims shows Mr Duck wearing a Chermun unieform, giving the Nazi salute and generally having too much quacking fun during the films production.
Interviewed at his residence at North San Diego county’s Lawrence Welk Retirement Community Mr Duck simply said “Can you imagine that?”
I am Jewish, and a supporter (though frequent critic) of Israel and its policies. Bill Kristol (the apex of whose career was being chief of staff to Vice-President Dan “Potatoe” Quayle)and his magazine’s over the top, falsehood and half-truth laden comments about anyone who does not tow the line of the most right wing elements of the Likud Party (people who make Netanyahu look like a Peace Now supporter) make me embarrassed and ill, as too many people think that anyone who supports Israel to any degree thinks the Weekly Standard does. Given who her supporters are, Warren’s comments about Israel showed no small amount of courage. You do not try to bitch-slap your friends, unless you are Bill Kristol.
Why don’t we have FOX News clear this up? They know all about Fair. And Balanced.
Don’t forget the shotgun marriage of the Zionist with the Military Industrial Complex, which settled in DC and had the troubled twins, War and Money. They even adopted a hell cat child named Neocon. All is fair in war and love and the unfair part falls on common people as bombs. Never question those power politics or you will be treated like Warren.
daily sub-standard: we distort and we deride.
CritICIZING ISraEL IS ANti-AmerICAn and PRo-ISIL. Or ISIS. And aNTi-SEMiotic!!111!!!one!!!1!!!
The Weekly Standard is not fit to line the bottom of my parrots cage.
It would be redundant.
Red meat for Week Standard readers now becomes red meat for TPM readers.
It is like a fruitcake getting passed on and on. Fitting, I suppose.
Guys? No matter how much you pander to the hardcore Yisrael Beiteinu party line, you will never, ever, ever convince any more American Jews to become Republicans than already are.
Bonus points for “aNTI-SEMiotic.”
