Discussion for article #231370

Oh this needs a really good comment. Unfortunatly for me my head is spinning with about 1000 words related to Grief just for starters and it’s not about Obamacare.
I’ll leave it right there for now except to say, bonehead and mcturtle needs some serious grief put though there souls.
Couldn’t help myself lol lol

John Boehner was so upset when the Supremes approved Obamacare that when he heard the news all the color drained from his face and. . . yeah, it’s late and I can’t make a good joke.

A trio of Senate Republicans had to quietly revise their proposal once they realized it would result in enormous tax hikes.

Republicans seized on a new report from the Congressional Budget Office, claiming it would ā€œcostā€ two million American jobs.

The Gruber-gate episode never got much more substantive than that. But it provided a handy distraction from the millions who have gotten coverage under the law in the last year.

Aside from now attempting to ā€˜change the math’ in how the CBO scores costs?
(R)s still have nothing.

Well. Other than titillation and superficiality.
And meanness. Lots of meanness.
Oh. And greed. Greed too.
(Look for further edits/additions after I have coffee. I’m sure there are more.)

This just proves that the Republicans have only one goal when it comes to healthcare: defeat Obama. There’s no promoting the general welfare, no giving millions of people access to healthcare, just defeat the President.

If the R’s think they were ā€˜elected’ to keep obstructing, this will be a short majority. So go ahead guys. Continue to ratfk the country. We WILL rise up.

How about ā€œhopefulā€ or ā€œwaitingā€ for the latest Supreme Court ruling?

I expect ACA will be treated like a QB under pressure again – will get up, stagger some, be somewhat affected but live to play again. Go Cards!

Poor, poor Republicans! About a $100 million wasted on your futile attempts to repeal Obamacare and to pander to your low/no info odious ā€œbase.ā€
Think of all the guns and bibles you could have bought with that money to protect yourselves from ā€˜those feminists,’ ā€˜those gays’ and ā€˜those atheists.’ ~lmao!~

All these comments aside, the SCOTUS could do REAL damage, and I don’t put it past them. They have no shame and a limitless supply of gall. I’m seriously concerned.

Not only that, Republican Governors are using the federal Obamacare subsidies to cover the shortfalls in their budgets for things like highway maintenance and education. If you don’t tax the rich, you are running deficits.

The middle class are not going to give conservatives anymore TARP money. Every time Republicans put something on the ballot to authorize a new toll road or sales tax it gets voted down big time. Enforce the personal responsibility of those that aren’t taking their duty as American citizens seriously any longer. The time is more than ripe to initiate the call to tax the rich in the same proportion as we do everyone else.

Civilizations must have medical care, roads and schools. Republicans have to stop acting like barbarians and eat their ā€œprinciplesā€ which only seem to have benefied the rich anyways.

Oh, I’m sure they would crown another Bush ā€œkingā€ if they got the chance. But I’m not sure they want to contend with violent street protests directed at them or to be the cause of fostering a whole new human rights movement in this country.

The SCourt has always been able to operate largely under the radar, but not in this age of immediate social media response. Why put a flood light on it’s corruption and get the natives more upset?

They will pass all the nasty things they said they would in Congress and then say the Black Man-In-Chief has ignored the will of the people when he vetoes them. To which the Progressive SuperMajority will laugh…and give the next Democratic president in 2016 a majority in the Senate again…just to hear the TeaParty squeal like pigs as they have been for the last six years.

In an age of reality shows, people love to watch freaks at work and make fun of them.

I really don’t think the Republican establishment has any idea how little respect there is for them even among their own base any longer. They are in such a minority among social media that it really doesn’t matter what they say or do. They can hold onto their gerrymandered districts for maybe another two or three elections cycles, but after that demographics will change to such an extent that even the House will slip away from them.

Conservatives don’t appeal to the masses. They are too square, unawares and dorky for the 21st Century…and their constituents are too busy raising too many home-schooled children to pay much attention to what’s going on outside their communities. Once the Reaganites die off, the GOP as a conservatives force in this country will cease.

Gee, the Republican monsters are salivating at the prospect of thousands more dead Democrats. These vampires want to kill Obamacare so they can permanently eliminate more Democrats from voting.

It’s just awful.

The taxes on the rich are too small. That needs to be one of our mantras.

The Rs will have about two years to show how incompetent they are in running the Federal government and the many state governments where Rs are in the majority. They’ll turn back the clock on progressive concepts including Common Core, abortion rights, clean energy, taxation and with any luck they’ll overstep their imaginary mandate.
