Discussion: The Senate's Plan C On Obamacare Repeal May Already Be Dead

They keep running the same, ol’, tired pony around the track. Sad!

These guys are so incompetent I am getting scared they might not even be able to raise the debt ceiling level.

This couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of fuckwads.

Soooo very many people called this, just a few years ago.

The GOP thought they were making hay in the Obama days - truth was they mortgaged their future on slim majorities with an opposing President. The worst was how they preened like drunk peacocks when partisan media labelled them geniuses.

…I wonder how smart they’re feeling these days?

Still bending over for the 18% of Americans who like the bill.

To be fair, she/they came to DC to redistribute wealth upward. Hurting people is a byproduct of that, not the main goal and something they usually choose not to see or are incapable of seeing.

If they were smart, they would out-Democrat the Democrats and make healthcare easier to obtain. Then, they would actually keep Congress. They are fortunately not smart.

And Murkowski’s a no. It’s dead, Jim.

I’ll save our resident punch bowl pisser a few keystrokes (though I’m surprised he hasn’t made his usual Eeyore Dem’s suck tirade here yet):

Democrats suck. They have no plan. Hillary was a guaranteed win. Dems have no message and they suck forever and ever

Once Pence is out of the line of succession.

Why the long face, Mitch?

I get a feeling they prefer being an opposition party. Lots of money to be raised by bitching about all us libtards. Seems to be harder to actually, you know, govern.

Bill looks dead. Capito, Collins and Murkowski appear to be no’s. Portman also very skeptical. If I had to pick a new GOP leader, I think Portman or Moran would be the best choices. At different times, they’ve moved the GOP caucus to a less insane position. That’s something Mitch has never shown the willingness or ability to do.

Obamacare lives. Think the battle is soon over for 2017-18. Now we’ll have to deal with the medicare cuts that the House is putting into its budget bill. I believe the GOP is headed for a gov’t shutdown, but I think the Portman/Moran axis might be able to get the GOP to simply re-up the Obama budget for the FY 2018 fiscal year after the GOP has crashed the car a few more times.

This is promising news. After reading Reid’s prior aide’s Twitter thread I get the feeling GOPers are getting sick of McConnell dictatorship and that they are losing control. Hope the no’s stand strong. Repealing this altogether is not only dangerous, it’s irresponsible. Please let the sane voices overpower the Republican kooks

I also want to mention how it really is remarkable that despite their majority, they are having trouble getting anything done. This is one area that I am thankful for their ineptness.

According to a new survey monkey poll the American public overwhelmingly believes they are going with plan E.

Hey, Plan Nine was a good plan. It was just the implementation that sucked.

When you create an alternative reality through propaganda networks (Fox News and Talk Radio) in order to get power eventually that bizarro world will crash into reality. Even worse, the monster they created rose up and elected a narcissistic, idiotic Russian stooge as president. Thanks, guys.
