Discussion for article #236586
Most of the dancers at “Twins Plus” were originally from Brazil or Russia… undocumented status was widely known…(women working) double shifts to pay back the smugglers…
Wow! Right out of an episode of “Law and Order” (the original). Seriously. There was an episode about this very thing, complete with bad cops, bad Russians, KGB, etc.
And they were DEA. I can’t wait for crazy uncle Larry to send me one of those Reich-wing emails extolling the virtues of our brave cops, federal agents, and military.
A Sopranos spin-off in the works?
(And a Gov Christie audition?)
NJ. Where truth is stranger than fiction.

Christ, you can’t blame the guys for seeking out a more respectable line of work.
Hookers like cocaine. DEA agents have lots of cocaine. Other peoples confiscated cocaine.
Otherwise known as evidence. Seems like the perfect setup.
This story seems misleading. It isn’t being a DEA agent and running a strip club that aren’t compatible. It’s lying about running a strip club.
Well, as law enforcement agents, they were knowingly employing undocumented women whom they knew to have been brought to the US by smugglers. They also knew that these women prostituted themselves on their premises. They also were getting paid by the DEA during the same hours they were working at their club.
There was a reason they hid their names from the ownership documents. Their behavior put them at risk for blackmail, which could compromise the secret information their DEA jobs exposed them to.
Seems to me it is a whole lot more than lying about another job.
Did you read the complaint? The two counts are lying about having outside employment to maintain their security clearance.
I haven’t lived in the area for years, but South Hackensack used to have a string of hot-sheet motels along Route 46 that were basically brothels.
Maybe that’s where they got the idea. Seriously, I don’t know if these guys belong in jail but they certainly don’t belong in law enforcement.
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the pole dancers, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a pole dancer.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.
Well, except for Trixie.
But she was in the back room counting her tips.
I did read it. In fact I read the first 10 pages of the document, at which point quit reading. The other things I mentioned are in that document, and are a part of the government’s case.
Did you read the whole thing, or just the beginning, which discusses only the lying about having other employment.
Read the whole thing. And yes the other stuff was mentioned though didn’t make up the two counts that make up the Fed’s case.
Enough.
Defund and disband this affront to liberty and decency.
Take away their money. Take away their toys. Take away their “mission”.
So what? I just disagree with you that the TPM article was misleading. The other points that I mentioned are in the document and will come out in their trial since they are mentioned as corroboration.
