âHospitals scramblingââŚ
YeahâŚ
Are they 'scrambling â to protect the US
or
âscramblingâ to deflect poor image?
The next time these two hatch up the canât lose political stunt. They might want to quarantine that thing for at least a fortnight. I mean that thing has put Christiesâ already weakened political livelihood into critical condition.
I can understand how some Republicans in the last primary season were looking longingly at Christie because he didnât, at least, come off as a featherheaded loony. But is there anyone left at this point, with the possible exception of himself, who doesnât think heâd be an absolutely disastrous president? If he has one positive quality it doesnât show up too vividly.
The party is terrified of ebola but also terrified of tyrannical government⌠How will they square this circle?
In the spirit of bipartisanship, I will note that Cuomo really didnât come out much better, if at all, than his BFF. DiBlasio, by contrast, has done very well so far.
Ah, Cuomo and Christie, the Abbot and Costello of profoundly cynical, opportunistic and meanspirited political hackery.
Christie is such a bloated bag of ego - worse than an MD with an MBA in a business meeting - he thinks he is God and thinks he is always right - and thinks he knows how to do everybody elseâs job better than they do - but if things turn out to be wrong, it was clearly somebody elseâs fault - and he will see to that their careers are ruined for it - conveniently disregarding the fact that the âfaultâ was Christieâs.
Opportunistic panderers of a feather flock together.
Here you have the 2016 Republican Presidential Dream Ticket (at least for the âmade menâ in Jersey and upstate NY): Christie/Cuomo.
What could possibly go wrong?
Obama cares, Christie scares.
Dummies, both of them. I support reasonable quarantine measures for some instances, more stringent mandatory monitoring of some sort in others, but these two asshats really showed precisely how not to do it and effectively advertised not only their own incompetence but also the unpreparedness of the medical community sufficiently enough to justify people becoming more fearful in the processâŚa lovely paradoxical effect. It happened because they were doing it for all the wrong reasons, i.e., it was a political stunt to them, which is why it got done wrong from the very beginning.
Christie and his Boardwalk Empire corrupt machismo - Dead Republican Walking
Christie, the fact is, if you ran against Hillary. in 2016, you would lose in a landslide, even in your own state. This whole sad, disgusting display of yours, which had absolutely no thought or planning behind it, while of course also attacking the President and saying he does not know what he is doing, just confirms my beliefs that you were indeed the main figure behind that bridge closure. It is who you are, and exactly how you act, if you think you will obtain any political gains by it.
You just proved to intelligent people, that just like Bush, you would be a disastrous President, and cause this country hell. You do not give a damn about the people of NJ, or the people of this country. You only care about your huge and selfish ego, and your damn political career, which I hope ends as Governor of NJ.
As for your butt buddy Cuomo, he too is a self centered political opportunist, and he has shown time and time again, that he is in no way a liberal or progressive, and every bit as down and dirty as you are. For all of his attempts to undercut Mayor de Blasio, the Mayor is the one who looks like the REAL leader.
There is not much worse you can do for public health crises than make uninformed decisions in a vacuum, then execute them miserably.
âSay yo, Chris. Watcha say we just put dis here gal in a tent and call it a quarantine. Weâd be he-roes to da people, cuz weâd be doinâ someting about dis here 'Bola thing.â
And I love that a woman with the guts to go into face of a horrible disease showed up a cowardly politician who chose to go with the drift and lost.
Exactly. +1000
Wow! All those health officials who have studied this stuff really do know what they are talking about. And all those politicians with their steely resolves clearly donât.
A stool like Christie canât change niblets overnight.
Actually, Iâd like to know how the ill-fated (pun intentional) Cuomo/Christie quarantine decision was reached. Who was involved in the decision making process?
