When it comes time for Donald to leave he’ll demonstrate just as much grace and dignity, I’m quite sure. :innocent:

So, this morning, as I was contemplating the wave of renewed sick, nauseous horror that overcame me again last night while putting on my black sweater and planning on avoiding all news media. I got a text from a friend. She said she was experiencing a renewed wave of nausea and horror, wearing black and planning on avoiding all news media.

So, before I sign off for the day, a quick unscientific poll. How many people besides me whose job gives them a choice about what to wear decided to wear black today? Because I sure seem to be seeing more of it than usual out and about.

Not that I usually much notice what people wear, of course. Could just be confirmation bias. Hence the unscientific poll.

As a freelancer my job doesn’t really require me to wear clothes at all but as it happens I’m wearing what I’ll call Lincoln green. Just at random, what I picked up. OR IS IT?

I’m wearing black to reflect the state of my mood. But I’m from NY and I always wear black. This black, though, is the blackest, most depressed black; it’s a black that sends children & dogs into hiding. This black reflects nothing back, it sucks up the light, is nothingness.

Today I wallow. Tomorrow I march. Tomorrow I’m wearing fucking white. Tomorrow I get up, put on my big girl pants, and move forward.
