Presumably these “invoices” were paid with wire transfers from the “Loyal Bank” to a named person or entity. Much of the mystery may be cleared up when those are entered into evidence. There will have to be some kind of electronic trail.
heh, I was never great at spelling
And trump is deep into the mafiosi culture having dealt with them for 40 years. He was passively involved in the money laundering end of the business. One did not acquire large amounts of concrete with which to build Trump Tower without dealing with the mob from Northern New Jersey. trump is as corrupt and dirty as they come and yet hid that from the voters or maybe the voters just did not care. I am reminded of a scene in Godfather II where Mike Corleone and his mentor are talking about having the cash to have a hold on the man in the White House.
Still trump cannot change the law with a tweet or a sit down with Mueller. If I were trump (yeech!) a sit down with Mueller would be the last thing I would do.

I’m with Josh in his editor’s blog. I call BS on stories that Trump really, really wants the interview with Mueller, but his lawyers won’t allow it. However, I don’t doubt for one minute that Trump’s lawyers advise their serial liar client against the interview.
Chris Cillizza makes even Chuck Todd look credible.
Isn’t there a Georgetown cocktail party somewhere missing an obnoxious ass for other guests to avoid?
I doubt trump would listen to lawyers anyway… dickhead that he is.
From the prosecution’s perspective: "The Beauty Of The Fake Invoices"
Even if they did get Mango Mussolini to sit down for a deposition, he’d just lie about everything. What’s the point?
Scratch one’s head to the point of major blood loss.
Yeah, he also wants us to drink some sugary non-carbonated soft drink.
Me thinks tRump is terrified of Mueller, but needs to make it look like he is a tough guy and meet with him. Cowardly, sniveling fool. Can’t wait to be done with you! Fire Sessions and you’ll be toast!
Hey, maybe he can fill Dershowitz’s slot at all those Martha’s Vineyard parties, now that poor Alan’s been sent to Coventry?
No ticky, no laundry…
But who faked the invoices is what they have to prove. Manafort says Gates. The prosecutions says Manafort had a hand in it.
Stay tuned…
No–it says his plea is not guilty–
No–it says his plea is not guilty–
They updated it. It was originally a typo.
I looked up St. Vincent and tax havens and immediately came upon the Web site of Offshore-protection.com. “Why choose St. Vincent as an offshore tax haven? … [Our 1996 law] designed to address the privacy trepidations of those setting up an IBC in St. Vincent and the Grenadines … stipulates the most stringent confidentiality law on the planet today.”
Sounds very attractive.
To which the judge replies…stop focussing on Manafort’s lifestyle even though it was way way beyond his declared income!
Has the judge been intimidated by the mob?..the Manafort family is a longstanding mob family based in New Britain, Conn.

Very much like what Manafort apparently did. Except no foreign bank accounts. And she was embezzling from her own town.
.
… and smuggled the items into Manafort’s various properties so investigators would find them when they executed their warrants…
