Speaker Boehner is impotent.

These are the guys against “judicial activism” and “legislating through the courts” until they want to use it.

How many ways can Congress, or an alcoholic, conjure up to spend our money and get nothing done.

I know! Why don’t we pour toilet water on it? We truly live in an Idiocracy

The Teabaggers entire legislative strategy boils down to getting the president to use his VETO stamp.

For guys who want The Will of the People and not ‘some unelected judges’ to decide stuff, they sure run to the courts a lot.

I’m sure they can “judge” shop and find some durp that would support them but it is an INTERNATIONAL deal so go ahead just leaves more for the Europeans, Russians and Chinese and makes the USA even more of a laughing stock.

This is all so incredibly asinine. The agreements that Congressional Rethugs are currently having a hissy fit over are agreements between the IAEA and Iran. They are not between the US (or our allies) and Iran. The President could not have given those materials to Congress for their review because the IAEA won’t release the text of those agreements.

Obama Derangement Syndrome makes Congressional Rethugs incredibly stupid.

The Tea Bagetts have no legal standing, it appears. The IAEA is an autonomous organization, not under direct control of the UN, but does report to both the UN General Assembly and Security Council.

Go for it, Cruz!

What are the current odds that the House can’t even organize itself to vote on the treaty before the 9/17 deadline?

Ah, hahahahaha! Yeah because that worked so well with ACA! Just aanother frivolous lawsuit!

Barack Obama, with his adherence to treaties, laws, international agreements and legislation passed lawfully by Congress, must be stopped at all costs.

If not, there’s no telling what he might do next!

I am trying to figure out where this would logically lead. Imagine the House taking up a bill to prevent the importation of unicorns from Mars and then suing the executive branch because NASA had failed to provide full documentation on the history of the martian unicorn population. They haven’t even officially asked for the information they claim they haven’t gotten.

Toilet water? Why not Brawndo? It’s got electrolytes.

They long ago lost the argument with the users of the ACA. They long ago lost the political battles. They have lost the judicial argument. I dare you Mr. Speaker. Seal the deal for the Dems in 2015, as every Democrat next year can use your continued whining, complaining and impotence as the very reason we the citizens should vote every one of you out of office.

PNW - You don’t actually think they will be voted out of office for their ridiculous shenanigans do you?

This potential legal challenge has no merit, at all. It’s just red meat for the base. If attempted, it would simply be a waste of taxpayer dollars.

Rep. Charlie Dent also told reporters:
“I said in front of the conference this morning, 'If we do not vote on disapproval (read as Resolution of Disagreeable), if we do not vote on this, if the Congress were to do nothing, the Congress would look feckless, weak, ineffective, and President Obama would take his flag and plant it in the ground and declare victory. And say you know, 'See you in court. In 15 years, we’ll have a decision.”

I think a lot of people don’t know that the Cincinnati area of Ohio that Boehner represents has long been “Dixie’s northernmost outpost.”

My memory might be a tad faulty, but as I do remember, some Southern pundits used to say something like “If it weren’t for Cincinnati, Southern soldiers wouldn’t have any shoes.” Or something like that.
