I knew she was one of the gorgons, but when I studied Greek mythology in college (many decades ago) the version of her being a human turned into a monster was what I was taught. I always felt sorry for herâŚnever liked Athena after that. But then, all the Greek and Roman gods and goddesses were pretty unlikeable.

Have you ever read Roberto Calassoâs book about Greek mythology, called The Marriage of Cadmus and Harmony? I have read it about 3 times I think - I love it.
He wrote one about Hinduism and Buddhism called Ka that I love just as much.

Dems/liberals need first to realize that their good friends across the aisle are not their good friends. The GOP is Trumpâs now. Every awful thing he does makes them more complicit, binds them closer.
Leftists also need to realize that whatever the truth before Trump of the âtwo parties are two sides of the same coinâ criticism, itâs bullshit now.
