The Quicken Loans Arena where the R meetup is going to be held is the venue where the Golden State Warriors (go team!) are playing the Cleveland Cadavers and that schedule of games is going to disrupt the usual 6-week lead time for setting up the show to only 4 weeks. RNC knew this was a possibility but agreed on the arena anyway. Tee hee.

If Trump is as rich as he claims it shouldn’t be a problem for him to make up the difference. Unless of course he is lying about how much he truly has.

Is there a bit of irony in the name of the place where Repubulicans chose to hold this convention… Quicken Loans Arena? Can’t they just get a loan ? A few tens of millions should do the trick.

Trump has a long history of not paying his debts, so its not surprising people don’t want to loan him anything.

So the Koch Bros plan to buy teevee ads to convince people to unite and fix the rigged economy? Now they’re just f ing with us.

Rather than donating to the presidential election, the billionaire brothers plan to bankroll TV ads calling for voters to come together to fix the “rigged” economy.

They are supporting Bernie Sanders?

The R party is rich with irony but with this arena it’s epic.

Actually, they practically endorsed Clinton.

I noted yesterday that concern trolling by nobly named sock puppet entities is what the Kochs do when they feel threatened, but has it not occurred to them that telling voters to “come together to fix the rigged economy” is another way of saying “drag us out of our supervillain lairs and put us up against the wall?” Do they really want to go there? Do these commercials come with “STAY ASLEEP” and “CONSUME” and “OBEY!” subliminals?

The national conventions cost about $54 million last time. That’s going to put a dent in someone’s pocket.

Allegra, please please please, can you NOT refer to Trump getting crowned? In fact, could you leave that kind of rhetoric out of your reporting entirely?

It’s wildly inappropriate. Thank you.

And so did trumpf in 2008

“Hillary Clinton said she’d consider naming Barack Obama as her vice-president when she gets the nomination, but she’s nowhere near a shoo-in,” the real estate mogul wrote about the tight 2008 Democratic primary between Clinton and then-Illinois Sen. Obama

“For his part, Obama said he’s just focused on winning the nomination, although at least one member of his team said Clinton would make a good vice-president. (I know Hillary and I think she’d make a great president or vice-president.).”

@DuckmanGR She’s on Twitter. There’s no reason not to share your thoughts with her.

“Neither David nor Charles Koch will contribute to the July Republican National Convention.”

Has Trump put up his GoFundMe page yet?

Don’t take this the wrong way…I hope the Series goes seven games

You know why

Seven games would be delightful if only for the reason implied, but the tension is high at Casa Azul

I don’t think they necessarily see themselves as supervillains. Who does? They project the paternalistic work hard/get ahead (it’s your fault if you’re poor) ethic of a Carnegie or Ford (but without the inconvenient starting out poor bit).
