Discussion: The Inside Story Of That Time When Trump Almost Ran For President In 2000

Discussion for article #241444

I remember a time when to be called a shameless self-promoter was considered an insult. Now its a qualification for president. And its contagious.

Carly caught it. Notice how she refuses to admit she lied about seeing a video no one else can find. They are both born salespeople, willing to say anything to close the deal.

We are looking at two people who have never done anything except make money for themselves. One is famous for laying off thousands. The other declares bankruptcy repeatedly and sticks the little guy with his unpaid bills.

What a sad time for our country that this is what passes for leadership.

On candidates who are proud of their humble backgrounds: “They’re losers. Who the hell wants to have a person like this for president?”

I do. As if some arrogant, self-aggrandizing buffoon like Trump is going to know anything about the real world and the very difficult lives that many face every day. Yet they keep going because, hey, Donald, integrity. I wonder if he’s even heard of Abraham Lincoln, to make such an ignorant statement.
