Discussion for article #245958
Who plays Armstrong Williams in this movie?
Did Hillary give David Brock some time off so he could play himself in the movie, and reprise his famous slur towards Hill, “a little bit nutty, a little bit slutty?”
I remember, I remember. How shabbily she was treated. How many men, including Democrats, forever shamed themselves.
I’d like to think our country has gotten a little better since then, and that she would be treated better today. I’d really like to believe that … but I don’t.
You think this was put together in anticipation of a Joe Biden run?

I saw the whole thing. I saw how that man said he was the “victim of a high-tech lynching”.
I saw how he slithered on top of the backs of multitudes of actual victims of real lynchings.
I see how he defiles ALL PEOPLE with his very existence.
Oh, goodie! Finally, an anti-Republican production targeting the dumbest SC judge of all time. Hooray!
Any Coke or porno product tie-ins?
That was then, this is now. (i.e. We have new fish to fillet.)
If the movie is honest, Uncle Joe (Biden) does not come off looking good in this part of his career. It took me many years to be willing to forgive him for his behavior.
No, and I hear Long John Silver’s passed on the sponsorship opportunity as well.
Interesting idea. Reputable journalists could investigate the money behind this production and the political connections of the producers, director etc.; but without Biden in the race, the point is moot, so no effort will be made, I suspect.
What is now moot, but wasn’t in 2012, is a thorough investigation of the money trail and principal (non-actor) players in the making and redubbing of that inflammatory anti-Mohamed video during the general election. However, no reputable journalists ever saw fit to venture far down that path.
Now that this Anita Hill movie is being aired just before the southern primarys (for both partys, I think), I wonder what measurable impact it might have on the candidates still running? (N.B. pollsters).
The rabbit hole is very selective…
Chuck Todd: “It’s not my job.”
Alfred E. Neuman: “What? Me worry?”
Hopefully the film will stir a conscience in Thomas and he will do the decent thing.
Oh sorry, he doesn’t have one.
Chunk made me smile at the start of Friday’s MTP. He mentioned the 3 day weekend and said that “people here at NBC News would be happy with a one day weekend.” Poor Chunk, that 7 day work week is a killer specially if you’re only getting paid for 5…
Too bad Gary Coleman is gone. He would have made a perfect Clarence Thomas.
Bawahaha! Good one!
There was another t.v. movie years back but this should be pretty good.
Depressing to live thru it.
