Discussion: The Donald: I'd 'Love' To Have Mike Ditka 'Involved In Some Capacity'

Discussion for article #240271

WHY NOT? Just add another racist to the long list of racists in your camp.

Yes, you attention whoring idiot. Other countries do respect us. Not that I would expect any Republicans to admit to that fact. They can just keep lying, knowing that no one from the press will question their statements and ask for evidence.

And if other countries didn’t respect us now, why would having a football coach in your cabinet immediately change their minds?

“And Tim McGraw. That’s another name I know, and someone a lot of people like. That’s how you select the people who should run the federal government.”

I doubt Tim McGraw would have anything to do with Trump. He and his wife were clearly in Obama’s camp

Well, birds of a feather (loud-mouthed, racist, etc) and all that . . . .

OMG. Palin. Ditka.

The mind just reels. :weary:

You’re expecting Trump’s mouthings to reflect reality?

I remember that Senate race in 2004 b/c I worked on the Obama campaign! The Illinois Republican Party was terrified at the groundswell to draft Ditka as a candidate. Yes, he would’ve excited the low-info voters, but eventually, Ditka’s stupidity would’ve exposed him as Scott Walker-like buffoon.

Secretary of State? Sure go for it!

I mean… if folks elect Trump as president, then they don’t give f*ck-all about governance anyways…

Ditka would be a cheer-leader. a sexist one, but a happy ‘American’ Trump supporter.

“I have always loved Mike Ditka,” Trump told the newspaper. “He is what toughness is all about. When he was coach there was total respect."

Football commentators widely regard the 1985 Bears defense as one of the best ever. It was masterminded by defensive coordinator Buddy Ryan, with little oversight from Ditka; in fact, Ditka and Ryan had a largely adversarial relationship dating back to Ditka’s hire as Ryan, who was already on the coaching staff when Ditka joined the Bears, felt that he should have been promoted into the head coaching position. Although the two men continued to work together, the relationship continued to deteriorate and with the Bears trailing by three touchdowns in a late season Monday night game against the Miami Dolphins that resulted in the team’s only loss, Ryan finally snapped after Ditka, as he recounted in 2006 for NFL Network, told him that the defensive scheme was not working. The two began throwing punches at each other and had to be separated, and Ditka said that the relationship at that point became unsalvageable

There’s more.

Side-note: I wonder what Trump would think of Ditka’s general manager ‘skills’.

Rather than post anything I’m going to check back later when someone will surely have posted something about Trump, Ditka and deflated balls.

Wow, Palin and now Ditka … I wonder if he’s going to go with Oily Tits for Attorney General?

I still believe that as time goes on Trump will manifest so much enthusiastic derp that he establishes a ceiling that is below what he’s going to need to clinch the nomination.

Trump must figure Ditka would increase his ratings, because he still has not got the fact that being president is different from being the host of a reality TV show.

The Super Fans cheer, “Da Bearse.”
