One great frustration during this horrific episode of American history is that the integrity of the nation is in the hands of Republicans to resolve, and they are clearly uninterested to do anything about until they achieve their legislative agenda. Worse, the repubes know at least what the Dems know, and the Dems coming out of the briefing meetings have been appalled at what they have heard. I can only hope that if the nation survives this, that the repube party will suffer lasting damage to its reputation.
